I was wondering about a young bloke playing for OX's Dominic Quinn. played really well in a praci match the other day. Is he good enough to crack the ones at OX's

Also any info you want to put up about other 19's and have them depated.

Unfortunately for the Marcellin Under 19's, they are going to have a pretty new look line up this year. Oddly they have only lost 4 players from their granfinal side, however, their senior team had a number of retirements, injuries and departures this year. 8 of their grandfinal sides best players are now running a muck in the 1s, due to a lack of depth in the magoos. However, in saying that they will still b in the mix for finals and who knows how many of the 1s playing 19s can qualify. the word around the traps is that OX and UNI are the teams to beat this year but too early to call.

Chuck St Bernards into that group. Trounced Uni in the final prac match last week by about 8 goals. Still have a lot of players from last year and the new group are very good. Most of them are playing for the school and from what ive heard are early faves for Sun Shield. Better than the group that went through a couple of years ago and won the sect 1 GF.

Quinn will probably play most, if not all, the year in the U/19s. Played a lil for Yarrawonga last year.

What is everyone's selections for the ladder. Here is mine.
1) Old Xavs
2) De La
3) Collegains
4) Marcillen
5) St Bernards
6) Uni
7) Rups
8) Scotch
9) St Kevins
10) Banyule

There is no way in hell they are better than the 03 side. definetely went through undefeated in a very strong year. a rarity in any vafa history. about 15 of those blokes who played that year have gone on to play senior footy for the club too

ive heard tht DeLa are goin to be very strong this year and tht they are pritty confident tht they can go all the way this yr. can any1 give me there opinion on how they will go and any practise match results of theres.

also how will collegians fair this year, i see tht 1 of u blokes have them finishing about 3rd at the end of the yr. does any1 know some results for them aswell.

i would have to say that rupertswood look like they will be a bit further up the ladder than the position you have them in, i mangaged to watch a few games last year and they looked really impressive especially considering their older players played with calder and seniors.

this year you would almost say they are unstopable with the young hard running highly skillful team they have got this year, with talls such as baddley brennan and ata, running backman like pretty and sylvester and with forward targets such as quiqley and the new recruit beau lovett who many belive will be the first underage ammo to kick a hundred goals in a season they seem from the outset at least they will be a hard side to beat.

From what i hear dal la are a big chance and rated highly. I have some sources with the team from sunbury, the mighty rupi and they a looking ok. The boys have had a solid pre season and have been injury free.
Footy nerd knows his stuff, rupo had 6 starters at cannons last year and all but 2 are back at rupo. Baddeley is training the house down amd looks set for a big year at CHF looking his best in years :D , Allport off the back flank is dangerous, Trav Smith in the centre roaming aorund and Quigley off the wing kicking a few bags is a ominous force. With the boys able to lure 3 big names back from the lions with ATA in the ruck he will win every tap he is in. Barry and Foley suppoprting Bradley in the middle then the pretty private school boys could be in for some tough and rugged footy not used too by those boys who are used to some easy footy, expect rupo to be there abouts maybe not contending for the flag but giving a red hot crack at the private boys.

Who's the goose writing section 1's report this year. Has absolutely no clue.

St. Bernards and Uni Blues to finish last and second last. You've got to be kidding.

Bring back the politician Cam Nation.

I agree with On The Run, it is an absolute shambles that St.Bernards and Uni Blues are rated at the bottom of the ladder.

Also in reply to Footy Nerd, and i quote in reference to rupertswood"... this year you would almost say they are unstopable". Mate pull your head in. thats all that is needed to be said. Dont come on here making outrageous comments.

On the Run and VAFA06 why don't you have a crack a posting up a ladder and we will see how we go against each other as the year continues.

On Uni blues they got smacked by StB and StB didn't look that impressive themselves.

The bloke is ony putting up his opinion on what he thinks will happen going on the infomation that he has been given. And he has to put up with blokes like you to who just sit back and shoot him down without having an opinion yourself.

So if Uni got smashed by St Bernards why did he put the Blues ahead of them?

Might i add that St.Bernards did look impressive on the weekend.

Here is my ladder then

St.Bernards
Marcellin
Xavs
Scotch
De La
Blues
Collegians
St.Kevins
Ruperswood
Banyule

Should be a very tight comp.

With Thanks

who are the idiots tht write for the under19's section in the record lol, they completey f*cked up!

would just like to say tht collegians were very disapointing on the weekend for a team tht had been rated as finishing top 4.
