One of my pet hates is how 80% of people I talk to use the word "seen" in the wrong context. Eg. "I seen this the other day". It's "I saw this the other day". If you're one of these people, get it right, you sound stupid.

add to that "was / were".. i have a friend who consistently throughout her life with a huge amount of correcting from me STILL says "we was going to ..." and "I were going to...." annoys the hell out of me.

do you all hang around ******ed people ? lol or were they raised by wolves, stupid wolves....

We have a young receptionist (21) who in almost all ways is very good at her job, but she's from northern Qld and sometimes when she speaks to clients I cringe. The one that annoys me the most is she uses "done" instead of "did". For example "My boyfriend done it on the the weekend". I sometimes correct her but I can tell it irritates her and it makes me sound like my mother.

Yep, done/did as well. People sound so uneducated when they do it.

An ugly middle aged woman I used to work with greeted people with "How is ya"?

I occasionally hear it these days and it shits me.

My mate is the ultimate.

Calls the Socceroos player "Brett Everton"
He calls the Spanish side "Real Soccer Dads"
Former Lakers and Pistons player is "Chunky Atkins"
He also uses "done" and "come" in the wrong context too

Top bloke, though.

____IN OATH!

I can't stand it, its caught on ridicolously over here in W.A by teenagers... I'm 18 and I can use seen/saw in the right context and I am by no means a nerd... It isn't that hard, I think its more a cool thing..

Another pet hate is when people my age and younger use the phrase "heaps good". i.e "Man, that movie was heaps good aye".

me/my

This is me mate. Look at me car.

I seen this guy who brought a car off ebay, his and me gonna go see this heaps good tv show later on yesterday.

Wowz, I think I just cut me IQ in half.

Those are all bad...but the worst is when people say "could of" instead of "could have" (especially typed, but spoken as well).

I.e. He could of done this :thumbsd: or he could have done that :thumbsu:

Same applies for would and should obviously.

Absolute sh!ts me to tears.

Exactly. I just saw an example of this on the Basketball forum, so I came here to say exactly what you just said.

Totally agree. LeBron is the best player in the NBA.

Still wonder if LeBron played at the Lakers rather than Kobe if they would of won the title. I believe they would of.

Oh my god. His and he's is bloody awful. How can you not get that right?

I think could have/could of came from could've. When you say it quickly it sounds like could of, so maybe that's why people say it...? Either that or yeah, they're idiots.

my No.1 is commentators that call travis johnSTone "travis johnson".

its ____ing stone.

add in russell robertson being called "russel robinson".

The one that gets me going is arks instead of ask. That's all I'm going to say about that cause once I get going I won't stop.
