Someone please explain the selection criteria for this game (Tiges V Bris)...

Krak out...
Jack out...
Schulz in...

Are we trying to win games (Schulz)?
Aren't we trying to bring the boys on (Jack)?
Did we play Krak just for the 'Indigenous Game' ?
Are we trying to win?
Are we trying to tank?

Someone help me out...
Please tell me what is the consistent line-of-thought the match committee holds.
All opinions welcome.

I'm confused as all heck...

Cheers

I am upset about Jack beingft out.

But age wise there is no change.

Krak out - Schulz in (22/23)

Jack out - White in (18/19)

Meyer out - Polo in (20)

IMO they are trying to get a winning formula together. obviously they have to keep changing it around until they think they have the right one.
and if we win and they still change the team around then im out of ideas.
btw i thought simmo was back this week.

Exactly. I get someone having a go at me every time I say it but it's about time Tambling got a reality check but he needs to be dropped.

As much as im all for schulz, i have a feeling he's on notice and if he doesnt come to the party he wont see much more action this season.

Hughes has obviously been told to work on a few things, next time he comes back it'll be for good

Jack, way too raw

Krak, hopefully we dont see anymore of him again

We are in full tank mode, keep chopping and changing, bring kids in and out giving them a taste, keep the side unsettled and we dont win many games

Look at the ins & outs over the last few weeks and you might find the answer. Wallace is not playing anyone who does not put in an effort. The numbers speak for themselves. Meyer, Edwards, Krakouer, Thursfield, Riewoldt were the 5 lowest possession getters last week.

Thursfield can be excused as he plays FB and his main job is to stop the FF from scoring. Edwards Wallace likes bacause when he gets the ball he at least tries to create something. Sure he gets caught every now and then but I think he has been given a couple of games as reward for the Adelaide game. That leaves the other 3.

Krakouer had 6 possies 2 marks 2 goals thats it and was playing for the majority of the game simply not good enough and has had enough opportunity to secure a spot time to look elsewhere.

Meyer gets a chance and does little with it. Is not doing much to suggest that he wants to be at Punt Rd after this season. If thats the case the Coburg it is son and we'll give another kid that wants to play a go.

Riewoldt, the hype surrounding the kid and when he was going to play got him a game before he was ready and it showed. Still young and raw, patience is what is now needed. Now Jack has debuted the media storm eases off and Jack can spend time developing his game in the VFL and come out later in the year for a few more games or next year ready to step in.

Regarding the Ins:
Schulz - getting dropped hopefully wakes him up to the fact he has this chance, while Hughes and Jack are still developing to make FF his own. Lets not forget that he had the chance to bag 4 against the current AA FB a few weeks back. If I was Wallace I would have sat him down this week and said you have until the break to secure the spot otherwise we are going with the younger blokes. Make it clear that after 4 years he should be performing a lot better.

White - might not be the most talented bloke we have on the list but the kid puts in every week. Even against the Cats when we were 20 goals down he was still chasing butt, putting his body on the line and like Edwards is not afraid to take the game on. Would much prefer White playing and putting in 100% all game and making the odd error than a talented kid like thinking it will just happen and delivering nothing.

Polo - we need another run with player this week and Polo has been far from our worst performer this year. Gets his touches and also can effectively stop an opponent. Also has courage, remember this kid dislocated his shoulder against the Crows went in the tunnel popped his shoulder back in and went back out. Again I'll take that sort of determination on the field anyday if it means the difference between a win and a loss.

Generally speaking, I've got no problem with rotating a lot of players back through Coburg. We have over a dozen young or fringe players and it's good to constantly remind them of the difference between the two levels, make them hungry to succeed at senior level without being gifted games through a lack of depth, and also to protect their bodies by not playing them too often, too young at senior level.

I think the latter two are the main reasons we keep making significant selection changes week after week.

In this thread people are saying the young bodies and Andy Krakouer is 24 years old so I don think that has anything to do with it in regards to him. He been with the tigers since 2001 draft I am afraid to say he is not good enough. He goes missing in games way too often. He is very incosistent and I think he will be traded at the end of the year to either Fremantle or Port Adelaide.

In regards to Jack Riewoldt I think they want to give him a sniff of senior football. He is young a developing and if we keep getting beaten which has happened all year it eats at the confidence. He will have along career at Richmond. He will play more senior games this year.

We will probably be able to trade Krakoeur for a junk pick at the end of the year. You'd have to think North would rate him higher than most.

I actually think he could be carried by a decent team, where he could play on the worst defender and get still get his 6 posessions and kick 2 goals a match.

I think we have given him enough chances. WYSIWYG with Krakoeur.

Most likely be traded,he has all the promise in the world but never delivers.
