That was the term used in the Collingwood v Freo game yesterday by commentators. I believe this is where fans lose faith in the AFL and the admin. The incident that got Shulz a 50 to goal was just so out of the blue it was horrendous.
Theres been a lot of talk about Greg Swann fixing the Umpiring, however, if ever you wanted an example of a club man becoming a part of the AFL's boys club overnight its his comments today on yesterdays dissent 50.

Every man and his dog believes what happened yesterday was a joke, but Swann, in his 1st presser since assuming his new role, fossicked through the hundreds, if not thousands of player reactions to frees against to find a mere 13 examples of pointing to the scoreboard, to justify the joke call and in doing so exposed himself as just another party line toer.

That every other example of dissent shown on 360 featured Interstate club players was also telling.

Joke VFL league.

Selective umpiring extends to selective tribunal decisions when Collingwood are involved.

Steven May in a football action gets 3 weeks. Maynard and Moore shove and knee players that aren’t looking at them and get zilch.

Tiger kicks the ball about 10 metres, our players tackle, and tigers a 50 metre free! Tiger leaps of pie player doesn’t take the mark, and gets a free for tunnelling! What a crock!
