I know I'll cop a lot of crap from some people, but I just have to say this.

Why the hell are you people congratulating yourselves on post "milestones"? I've seen people congratulate themselves on their 100th post for crying out load!!! :eek:

It's only a post count people!! You don't get prizes for getting a certain number of posts!!

"why do you always bag people?" or "lighten up it's all fun".
I'd like to say that I agree with you on these minor post counts. I think 1000 should be the lower limit of looking for a bloody pat on the back.

True True.

100th I dont understand at all.
But I can see why people do it for 1000's.

Its an achievement, just like a time in a 100m race. It shows your experience level on the boards, and if you get that many, you must have some sort of respect around here (dan exempted ;) kidding).

Thats the only reason most do it.
Others do it because It is a common practice now, so that is why you see people doing it on 100th posts etc.
 
I am more interested in the team effort than my own personal glory!!!:D :)

Don't care for milestones, maybe if I ever get to 1,000,000 I might kick up a bit of a fuss.

I got some stats for Dan:

Let's see, 7200 posts - that's a friggen lot

Probably average about 40-50 words per post (??) so say 45.

Average letters per word would be about 5.

Now

7200 X 45 X 5 = 1,620,000 letters

So dan would have roughly typed 1.62 million letters on this site.....geez, he must have some of the strongest fingers going around!!!!:D :D :eek:

I propse the following structure:

0-100: White Belt
100-250: Yellow Belt
250-500: Blue Belt
500-1000: Green Belt
1000-1500: Red Belt
1500-2000: Brown Belt
2000-3000: Black Belt (1st Dan)
3000-4000: 2nd Dan
4000-7000: 3rd Dan
7000-10000: Dan25
10000+: Jedi

I think you will all agree that this is a fair and equitable system. Not to mention a great fashion accessory!

Also, from now on, all posters of an inferior post count, must adress me as Sempai!!!

Of course Bluey is our Sensei!
