I will put a poll to this, as I am sure alot of people may want to vote and not comment on this one....

Scenario is, a guy is standing at any location, and a female approaches him, and punches him in the face. Now the female could be someone the guy knows, or someone he doesn't, so some may have two answers, so feel free to discuss. But generally, guys hitting girls is a big no no, to what I have heard. But what is your right to self defence, against a girl who attacks you.

In todays society, we have got some undesirables that my two young boys may bump into. If it is a girl that wants their wallet, or wants to fight them, or wants to get revenge, what do my boys do? what do I tell them to do? We are by comparisons following Americas lead, in increasing violence and girls may at times be the aggressors in this violence.

My wife reckons that perhaps we could say that if such an occurence was to happen, they can restrain the female in her rage, but my youngest son is short atm, and older one thin and sensitive, and I am picturing a big Mouri Girl or a butch bikie girl, and my thoughts are, fight your way out of the situation as you would be forced to with a guy, but I was deprived of the good or bad experience it is to grow up with sisters, my two where flown the coupe before I knew what a coupe was. But I am thinking, it may be a bit difficult for a guy to get himself out of a situation, if he doesn't treat the situation a seriously as it could be.

So I think it comes down to the poll question:

Restrain, trying to match strengths in a controlled manner
Fight and clear yourself from the situation anyway you know how
Wait in Fetal ball in the corner, possibly under a barrage of female punches, until she settles
Punch her up for being so stupid to standup to you
 
I have seen this occur a fair bit with different reactions by the males

in one instance a female punched and kicked a guy for some stupid reason so he kick hit her - she got up crying about not hitting girls or something like that, but she gave up that right when she started hitting him.

I've also see the "restrain" theory, that didn't work because the guy then got attacked by bouncers thinking he was starting something.

the best one I saw was the guy just dodging it and laughing, she end up leaving enraged.

my issue is that women can be bigger than men, so if they start to hit them surely the bloke has a right of reply ?

Hmmm... think it depends on the situation, but I believe everyone has the right to defend themselves. So sure, why not hit the stupid girl.

I gotta another question. What about a little kid that beats you up? At my old work, this staff member would bring her kid to work each Friday. Anyway, the little shit would kick, punch me, etc (he was 6-7 yrs old and did taekwondo).. he almost punched me in the breast FFS!!! I refrained from hitting him back... but geeze it was tough.

Come to think of it, the poor bugger was a Sydney supporter (thats the truth, not making it up).. so I guess he was taking out all his frustration out on me since he follows a PATHETIC BORING AS BATSHIT FOOTBALL CLUB.

What suprises me about this is, there is 9 people that voted restrain, yet didn't comment. It is the fight people who wish to comment. On Fox fm the other day Jo Stanley was anti fight, yet again though, they fail to put themselves in the position where they are the victim of such an incident, from the blokes point of view and discuss.

Punch the crap out of her. I don't discriminate, if anyone, male or female, attacks me, I retaliate with force. This "it's wrong to hit girls" thing is way out of date, otherwise girls will just hide behind that and start attacking guys.

If someone you know, such as a peeved off friend (gf), then restrain yourself. Step back, block her attacks, at most hold her until she settles down.

If its a stranger that's trying to rob you, do as you please. That said, an average bloke could floor a chick with one moderate punch, so it wouldn't be much of a fight.

If its a guy-vs-guy fight and the chick tries to join in (i.e. help her man out), she deserves whatever comes her way.

People like that give martial arts a bad name. It doesn't matter if he's a kid either as most people learn/study martial arts so that they won't have to fight but they know that if a potentially violent situation arises that they can adequately defend themselves.

You don't have to tell me that! (I used to do taekwondo as well! And I don't like violence, so go figure). God he was a little shit and a half. I did bring him around eventually.. After numerous bashings... finally...
 
Was at the Subiaco Hotel in 1995 after a Essendon v Eagles game in which the Bombers had one.

I caught up with a mate of mine after the game at the hotel as he was an Essendon supporter. He was there with a group of about 4 mates one being an Eagles supporter and the rest Essendon.

During the after match banter my mates Eagles friend was talking to a random Eagles chick who'd approached the group. Well she just starts bagging the Eagles, giving it to the players how crap they are etc. My mates mate being an Eagles supporter called her a disgrace for bagging the team the way she was.

Well this drunk Eagles chick slaps this blokes face and calls him the c word. The pub stopped as it was pretty loud. This bloke tells her not to touch him again she slaps him again, the bloke infront of a deadly quiet pub tells her again not to do it bang she slaps him again.

Well this bloke just shoves her back over/through a pot plant and she ends up sprawled across the floor. Suddenly all the other Eagle supporters then jump in yelling about you can't touch a woman and what a low bastard he was. It essentially ended up being my mate with his Essendon friends, me against about 20 Eagles supporters over some drunk loud mouth Eagles chick sprawled on the floor.
