Supposedly why he has under performed recently. But he undoubtedly has the potential. Could be a steal if he gets his head into gear.
Not unless we trade down in the first round, I wouldn't think.Turbocat said:Port will use their pick on him I would have thought
I disagree. Enough times we've seen teams try to convince their players to play with unnatural intensity and it very rarely works. Much better off to go with a guy with about as much talent who has the burning desire to play - thats about ten times more important.after Gibbs he has the attributes to be a quality player. A player with an attitude problem can be worked with , a player with less talent not so easy.

Well it should've been, I've yet to see anyone make a precise talent ranking, and who are the other players that Port would consider at #4 that Sellar has so much more talent than?Turbocat said:You disagree yet you have posted "a guy with about as much talent".
My point was not about kids with about the same amount of talent/attributes.
So you agree that it is not the only determining factor then? And that a bit of talent can be beaten out by other factors, particularly poor attitude? If attitude alone was the key then half us wanna be's would have gigs. Without talent a players has no chance, the more talent the higher chance of making it. Is it the only determining factor? No but its the a deal breaker if his talent is not good enough.
Slightly more often than they get a chance to get a non-SA kid thats better than him.If Port pass on him because the doubt his talent or prefer others, then thats their right but how often do they get a chance to get a SA kid like him

195cms I last heard, and that is way too short for a Ruck despite how high you can jump.
