Every year at the Volleyball Schools Cup they have a vertical leap contest. I might be able to suss what he scored las year.

I might also just say, as an outsider (and not hoping to start a rumour mill), I've heard repeated rumblings that Sellar seems to have real attitude problems. Supposedly why he has under performed recently. But he undoubtedly has the potential. Could be a steal if he gets his head into gear.

People are saying he isn't tall enough to play in the ruck at AFL level. Could his vertical leap possibly change tihs ?

Port will use their pick on him I would have thought , after Gibbs he has the attributes to be a quality player. A player with an attitude problem can be worked with , a player with less talent not so easy.

I disagree. Enough times we've seen teams try to convince their players to play with unnatural intensity and it very rarely works. Much better off to go with a guy with about as much talent who has the burning desire to play - thats about ten times more important.

My point was not about kids with about the same amount of talent/attributes.
If attitude alone was the key then half us wanna be's would have gigs.Without talent a players has no chance, the more talent the higher chance of making it. Is it the only determining factor? No but its the a deal breaker if his talent is not good enough.
If Port pass on him because the doubt his talent or prefer others, then thats their right but how often do they get a chance to get a SA kid like him

Well it should've been, I've yet to see anyone make a precise talent ranking, and who are the other players that Port would consider at #4 that Sellar has so much more talent than?

Slightly more often than they get a chance to get a non-SA kid thats better than him.
