Poor kid sounded abit iffy about comming back to AFL footy :(

" I wont come back untill im sure I can put my head over the pill"

The tone of his voice was as if he was shaken up.

True. I just saw that on Channel 10 news, looks to be really effected by this incident, poor guy, hope he gets back all of his confidence, was playing very well.

Thats terrible news boys.

Was a very serious injury and one could understand the kid being slow off the mark.Im sure the medics have told him more than we know regarding the injury's true severity.

We need to keep winning for him to get the vibe back.

Until then he shoiuld look at our helmet thread.

He'll recover from this.

Needs to be given time to get over the psychological trauma though. Shouldn't rush him back.

What a load of garbage
The guy is aching to get back out there, if his voice was shaking (which I didn't notice) then I'd suggest it was his prior lack of media work that was the reason

Just watched him on fox footy and he sounded ok to me. Wonder if they will give him a game at Coburg where he can be eased in a bit more to get his confidence up without being under the pressure of winning an afl game.

He sounding like he will was 'willing' to sit out a few more games to me.

If I were him I wouldn't be eager to get back either. But I really hope this doesn't destroy his confidence to get the hard ball and stop him from playing great football.

He had a solid 2004 but really, he was looking fantastic. If he cannot get back to his old form it will be heart braking.

I agree. When he spoke on Fox he was very matter of fact and informed, quoting his "psychological well being" etc etc. I thought he just sounded well briefed and media prepared. During the interview that shot of him at training looking pretty keen gave me confidence he will be just fine.

Apart from being great to have him back and for his career....what an inspiration to his teammates when he runs on the the field. I am sure the crowd wont let it pass without recognition, am bloody certain I wouldnt if I was lucky enoygh to be there.
