Worst week of the year for sure. They all go out on the train getting their free travel, holding up the queue at Maccas getting their free coffee and head to all these free events that are being run for them. Why should they get to go on the train for free? Why should I have to stand in a queue at Maccas for 10 minutes today behind ten oldies getting a free coffee? There was such demand for the stuff that Maccas ran out and had a two minute wait on the stuff!

Seniors week annoys me!

Hope they remove it the week you take retirement. Inconsiderate cretin.

Well said, Grendel.
And let's not mention that those " Oldies " Taxes have gone on
footyman's Education, Health, Public Transport, Social Security etc.
Methinks they deserve more than Free Travel and Cup of Coffee.
Some of these " Oldies " Fought and Died for this Country or had
Relatives that did.:) :)

Cheers,

The Munster.

That they can now line up at McDonald's after dying in wars speaks volumes for the wonders of modern medicine. :D

Seriously though, a bit of consideration for elderly citizens doesn't go astray. In a society as comfortable as ours today, most of us don't experience the hardship some people suffered in wars and even as far back as the depression of the 1930s.

As Munster pointed out, many made great contributions protecting the freedom of this country, without which you might be in a society where McDonald's queues are the least of your problems.

As people get older, they physically and mentally slow down at a certain stage. Picture yourself in a position where you reach your 70s or 80s and you'll probably find that ageing is more of an inconvenience for the elderly than for people annoyed by the elderly.

I'm not sure if it was a trolling post or if you are really that inconsiderate and stupid, footyman.

Now come on Darky surely you've seen an American Hero die wiping out a Battalion of Germans and then reappear in the next Film destroying a Machine Gun Nest of Japs single handedly.
That Medicine has been used for Years.:D :D :D

P.S Mine was a sarcastic shot at the term " Oldie " as it seems in Society now days, once one reaches the age of 45 one becomes as useless as a Dog **** in a Sand Box.

Cheers,

The Munster.
