Anyone else think that today when the game was there to be won our senior players - not our youngsters - didn't know how to win it? I saw Dezzy slip over and carry it out of bounds and rip a guys head off, i saw Haze in a back pocket stop running and start directing traffic to come towards him, I saw sandi handball to the opposition and fist a ball he should have marked, and i didn't see Luke do anything much in the last.

The guys that seemed to me to be trying their guts out were the youngsters like de Boer, Hill, Broughton, Hinkley, etc. This worries me as i think the young guys will learn the bad habits from the older guys. Does anyone else think that Haze, Macpharlin, etc have been put on a bit of a pedestal, by us the fans and to a lesser extent the media, when they are really just talented journeymen? It hurts me to say that as they have been some of my favourite players, but i don't ever think those guys will ever take the club anywhere.

It's a ****ing embarrassment when you don't want them to give the ball to the oldies.

It's a ****ing embarrassment that the best passages of play generally only include the young guys.

No one at all was making leads in the final quarter. This is when the senior guys need to step up. We must've conceded about 4 goals in the 4th quarter from farting around in their defensive half.

Exactly. When the game was on the line Judd stepped up and got plenty of touches and created goals. Our senior guys SHOULD have responded by doing something ...something other than fall over/stop & direct traffic/give away free kicks/turnovers.

Bit tough to use Chris Judd as an example, most teams are lucky if they have one player of that ilk..The top sides have two (Johson/Chapman, Riewoldt/Mongtana etc).

Our Chris Judd is currently injured and our future Chris Judd is in his first season.

It's disapointing we lost the game, but lets face it the team we had out on the paddock today has few game breakers.

Sandi can't be everywhere and Headland is past it.

Mundy continues to tease as does Ibbotson etc, but that's exactly what this season has been.

To be honest while today was disapointing, I think there was allot to take out of it considered the current state of the side.

I'm starting to think supporting the dockers year after year is a tease.

The world culture springs to mind, but it angers me at the same time..Simply because it is undefinable.

Why do teams like Adelaide, Brisbane, Geelong, Essendon continually stay around the mark (Or down the bottom of very breif periods)...Yet clubs like Tigers/Demons and our own spend more than our fair share down the bottom.

Is it because we don't demand success as a supporter base?
Does it come down to unlucky circumstances?

My opinion is we were screwed over from the begining and then just carried on that way.

Yes it is the culture i think as well. We set the bar low at the start, and have never really recovered.

I think the mindset with freo is that we are 'building for a premiership challenge', when clubs like Adelaide, Brisbane, Geelong & Essendon try and challenge for the flag every single year they play.
