All the best Dukey. Magnificent effort. A Noosa junior who has come all the way thru to play 200 games - thats a rarity at any football club these days.
Reminds me alot of Andrew Housego from Mayne, went through the juniors ranks at the age of 15 right through to Seniors at Mayne. Knock back offers from other clubs when Mayne were struggling and think he knocked back an offer from an AFL club to stick with the TigersWant to join the others in congratulating Brett on an outstanding achievment.
Only those that have know Angel throughout his career would appreciate the dedication he has shown to the Tigers. His closest mates within the Club are also a blend of true loyalists. Perhaps this is why premierships are earn in the most difficult of circumstances. It requires people of the fabic like Brett who ensure club loyalty is paramount and at the forefront of their minds.
You are in the company of the selected few at Noosa who have shown loyalty, dedication and longnivity. Has always is a pleasure to watch you play but more importantly to follow your career and call you a friend. May you have many more games at your treasured Club.

Fischer was another one who eneded up at Mayne early part of this century. Played some good footy there too.Did Surfers announce themselves as pretenders for the flag after yesterdays result. With no disrespect to Mdore, a side vying for a finals position in a crucial game should have been able to account for a bottom 4 side. Plenty of hoohah pre season about their prospects but not sure they genuine. Yes i know they have beaten two sides above them but have dropped a couple, that good sides dont, to sides below. Will more than likely grab 5th but not sure will do much damage when the whips are cracking.
Maroochydore played outstanding and gave Surfers a Physical game, the Demons did not like that. Physically and Mentally Surfers are behind the Noosa's and Magpies IMO. Fantastic that Maroochydore are on the improve and are disappointed they did not take the 4 points.Conditions are irellevant, same for both sides. Mdore obviously played well, this is not Mdore bashing, however as it stands currently are a bottom 4 side. What Im getting at is that flag candidates should be able to beat sides below them, otherwise IMO they lose legitimate flag credentials.
Surely, Maroochydore & Springwood should have earned respect from the higher positioned clubs over the last month?Maroochydore nearly knocked over Noosa last year SP in the bog didn't they?? Reckon conditions certainly assist a "battling" side moreso than a highly skilled one. Surfers looked better with the ball in hand, Roos just smashed in with effort and forcing the ball fwd. I think Roger would be quietly pleased to pick up 2 pts, SP bloke would be really disappointed with 2pts.
Agree though that an aspiring premiership side should win but maybe the Roos are a little better than their position on the ladder? Knocked Sandgate over in similar conditions.
I don't reckon springwood yet deserve it from the top few just yet. We're on the right path but beating Burleigh and Coolangatta doesn't mean a lot right now compared to what the top sides are doing. The Mayne win is a start but we need a top 4-5 scalp this yearSure

But its a step in the right direction for the pumas for coming years isn't it. Some of your young blokes getting the taste of winning games can lift their enthusiasm and should carry over to next year. I think they will keep improving and will be hard to beat, as Mayne found out in both games this year.I don't reckon springwood yet deserve it from the top few just yet. Oh, absolutely. It's definitely going the right way, and winning games will give confidence to allow the boys to continually improve. But its a step in the right direction for the pumas for coming years isn't it. Mayne are in a similiar boat about earning respect when we can beat PBC/Noosa, Magpies we are yet to win a game against Noosa and Magpies since the PHC commenced in 2005.Oh, absolutely. I was only referring to the comment that the bigger clubs should probably respect us now, they have no reason to just yet IMO and until we can beat a PBC/Noosa/Grange/Surfers/Magpies type club that's not going to change.
Round 13 tips

Yeah hopefully a good contest - any chance your coaching group might play a kid who stands 6'6, moves beautifully and is in the State 18's squad?? Or are those "structures" that flipping complicated that you need to read a couple of books beofre playing A grade up there currently?? Nearly had a word in our own ppl ears this week prior to June 30 about a move further south for the young lad..N
Not from.the Tigers. if you think a fluke draw in the wet has the boys shivering good luck. sorry Smy but u know coast games. No quarter given and none asked.... Punky to kick 8 plus!! And Angel to blind the rest of the Roos with the Silverfox!!!!!
