Think he has alot of friends at Noosa still S36.. He has coached the 18's for the past 2 years and not sure returning to coach Noosa seniors was high on the agenda and probably wouldn't be a win for either club or coach IMO. From what NB has said then they are pretty keen on a player coach at Tigerland in 2013 (fair point too NB re the question). Coaching movements are very different to player movements IMO. Coaching positions are limited, not so playing positions, esp here on the sunshine coast. Only really 2-3 clubs to choose from as travelling to Brisbane and even Caboolture is a long drive 3-4 days per week.
If he has been appointed (anything official??) then it would be a good move as he has great connections with both young and old footballers in this part of the world, would be a better coach now than when he was at Noosa (as a playing coach too!
) and even then he was widely regarded as one of the better coaches Noosa has had in the past 15 years or so. BTW - pretty sure Maroochy wouldn't be spending anywhere near the figure you suggested OP - maybe half that, maybe less? I heard all he wanted was a new set of top shelf paint brushes and a fresh pair of overalls each week plus Noosaboy to change his title to NoosaRooboy.

Suppose everyone does what is right for themselves but there is a reason why some clubs are where they are.
