wow you have all been saying that Luke is the worst player in the AFL, I feel Setanta can add to our irish boys , in a mentoring type roll

So we should get rid of one dud(McGuane) just so we can bring in another dud(Setanta). Let him be delisted and hire him as a mentor for the Irish that way he doesn't have to play for us.

My thoughts would be delist McGuane and not get Setanta. That way we could actually try to use that place on the list for someone who has something to offer.

Not sure what youre on about , the guy i met in Brissy, is very very close to one of our much maligned players who is rumoured to be moving to brisbane, so i am relaying a source, PTF.

And surely it would be a win win win, for everyone, luke needs a new start although i think his lack of discipline will hinder him.

He is the only tiger from that 2004 draft aprt from lids so he has had a fair crack at making it.

Setanta would be an upgrade on miller perhaps as he is a little more mobile and carlton need a collier type as they a re letting bowrs go.

O'Hailpin lost my respect when he hit and kicked a teammate at training.

If Dimma wants a club of elite character, then Setanta will not be given the green light.

Why does the Irishman need to be involved. Just swap McGuane for Tommy Collier. Old teamamte of Jacks in the Tassie VFL side, much rather him than that other freak. The day I saw him kick a coupla goals at Bellerive playing for the Bullants and each time he did he kissed the bullant on his jumper.....thought to myself then...the boy ain't right.

Sounds like a compelling trade there NT. Personally I'd only be interested in it if it seriously looked like we were going to actually give Adelaide our end of first round pick we got for Tambling.

If that looks like happening the bring on Santana and his Black Magic Women.

Exactly spot on. It's not like the Miller situation at all.

Setanta is not a terrible player, but he would not get a game for us. Neither will Miller next year, but he's on the rookie list and working towards a development role. Setanta would be a 100% list clogger.

A) Rape Adelaide by picking up Maric in the PSD
B) Offer Carlton our 4th rounder for Setanta
C) Offer Sydney or 3 rounder for Seaby
D) Walk away from all these options and persevre with Gus, Brown & Derrickx
E) Coax Troy Simmonds out of retirement
F) Offer our 5 th round pick to Adelaide for Tambling

firstly no chance in hell I want Setanta in our side.

That being said, a lot of you are unfairly maligning him.

He NEVER EVER assaulted and kicked a fellow footballer.

He has however beat up and kicked a Cloke, and I'm yet to meet a Cloke who didn't deserve a kick in the quoit. Personally I think when he is finished playing this action alone should guarantee him a lap around the MCG on GF day.
