Setanta could b a very handy pick up he is tough and versatile and can take opposition resting ruckmen as well as being a dangerous key forward and a handy second ruck he is still improving .

I hope you are thinking of the Kruiser man. Setanta is neither a capable back up ruckman, or forward, or back. Outside of kicking Cloke, he has spent about 10 years on a VFL/AFL list and produced.........nothing.

Yeah, but he's going to be amazing once he learns the game ...

Been away, what did we give up for Setanta in the end?

I notice the cookie jar is still full of stale cookies.

He has peaked already, which wasn't much of a peak in the first place.

Eddie Betts or David Ellard would be as much use as a second ruck as Setanta is. Apart from that I agree, he can play pretty good football forward or back, but he is inconsistent and has had quite a few niggling injury setbacks over the last three years.

Yeah even at his best I would be suprised if we picked him up Sin. I believe his best footy is forward and with Vickery and Jack and many other young talls he just wouldt fill a need at his age.

I will be suprised if you dont keep him, has kicked a few goals for you guys at times.

Noticed Stig jumped on the fev rumour in nothing flat - however wll quiet on the western front on this one - hmmmmmmm

If Stig not commenting on something gives a rumour validity, there will doubtless be a lot of huge rumours over the next few months.

In that case, I'd like to start a rumour that the club is drafting me, but are trying to keep it under wraps for now, but privately they're saying I'd be better at FF that Jack and Dusty combined.

Until Stig denies it, it's got legs :D

Blues just de-listed Setanta... the pieces are falling in to place. PSD here we come :o

We were never going to keep him, he just isn't consistent enough sadly.

I don't think you guys will bother either, aside from two good talls in Jack and Vickery you have Miller as cannon fodder while Griffiths and Post are mature enough to get a bit more game time now.
