Not only hard at it but he will be one of our first genuine shorter players to extract a genuine head high tackle free kick up forward. By genuine, I mean he didn't have to work it at all. Either last game or the game before that, he went in hard for the ball and got the free (and goaled) and my eyes lit up - you beauty! He could be extracting these frees without even having to play for them just by going in hard for the ball - which he does anyway. Phil Matera used to kill us with those head high frees near goal, I hope Valenti can get a couple per game throughout his career.

Similar for Maric as well, once he bulks up a bit and puts his eyes on the ball he'll be extracting head high frees all day long without actually having to play for them.
