must be glad he isn'yt on a week to week contract. Peoples views change on him every week. One week he should be signed for 5 years, the next we should sack him

Ive always thought he should atleast be assured of being at the club next year so he can play only fit players and the young players like Lonergan and Hislop who will be our future pill extractors without thinking he has to play the senior guys who may be out of form just to keep his job..If i had my way he would be signed for another two at least..(providing we traded Bolts come year end.)

I believe they should sit down at the end of the year and decide then and then only whether Sheeds coaches on next year rather then making a call on the back of a few good/poor games. We can only judge his 2007 performance once the 2007 season has finished. There is no rush to put pen to paper mid season. However I do feel he will coach next year.

Seriously no need to panic after the collingwood game. Yeh we were bad but have a look at the last month, we've outplayed 3 flag chances & had chances to win against carlton and to a lesser extent collingwood.

Wait till the end of the year and then decide. I would think they would keep him as long as we show good improvement, which so far is happening but there is a long way to go.

That's bigfooty for ya, every weeks teams jump from premiership morals to wooden spooners with a bleak future.

It's amazing how quickly things change...

If you have to coach to keep your job then it is time to move on.

Personally though I think he will be there again next year does deserve one more year at least to try and get this current crop of players to the top again if they don't finish there that is. If they do finish there I am sure he will have the contract signed anyway.

ive never changed my opinion of sheedy, always will be a great coach and no matter how bad the team is going i will never want him to leave. his been to good for us. the only way i would be happy to see him go was if james hird took over as coach (im hoping that happens in 5 years time but i doubt it). that would just be so fitting

I cant image Essendon without Kevin Sheedy...Its a weird thought..It will happen but the old bugger still has unfinished business i reckon..
