Gotta love Sheeds for getting in early on the Dreamtime at the G concept before somebody else did. I've always felt that the colours for the main show could never have been anything but red black and yellow. He was great for our club but he's been possibly the most important ambassador for the game in general through his innovation, passion, and perceptiveness of what the game can give back to society. Sheeds, with his big-picture perspective, has always understood that while Aussie rules is just a game it also has the unique potential to improve Australian society. He is a ****ing legend and it irks me whenever opposition supporters bag him for being batshit crazy... instead we should be celebrating his nutty wisdom.

I've loved him for over 35 years. Don't know why I love him but I still do to this day.

Thinking about it, Sheeds is one of the biggest reasons we are such a strong club in the modern era.
We started to get serious following after the 84/84 flags, which he was undoubtedly the architect of.
Followed by a couple more Premierships, our numbers and backing grew stronger.
Without that success, who knows where we would be.

And it's great his legacy will be ongoing with the marquee games he largely instigated.
Huge games, huge crowds for decades to come due to his forsight.
Essendon legend.

(I only wish he didn't drop Dereck Kickett for the '93 Grand Final though)
