Punt Rd ‘17? ‘19?
AFL Club
Richmond
I'm personally pretty dissapointed in sheedys decision to re-sign with essendon, geez if it weren't for the 251 games and three flags he played at RFC , well he;d just be like any one of you dummies sitting behind a keyboard right now...

Lets face it over the next three years Essendon are about as close to a flag as I am hopping into a hot tub with Kylie after her next show....By the time a decent midfield is developed Lloyd and Hirdy will be Platinum members of the Moonee ponds Bingo hall as for Fletcher , he's anyones guess.....

Sheedy owes RFC for who he is today and should look at returning to Richmond just like one of your folks asking for help.....to turn his back the way he has says alot in my mind....

BS we'll be a good a chance as any. a fit and in form Hird lloyd and fletch with imprvement from younges players should give us a chance.

Sheeds barracked for essendon as a kid he loves the club and will eventually get the money he wants, plus he'd never leave while Hirds playing.

Your only hope is to get him as a football director or something on a part time basis after he's retired.

Bwahahahaaaa....

Go and cry into your drinks somewhere else. Dump Frawley and get another hack! Another decade at the bottom of the ladder for Richmond!

Lloyd's 26. Perhaps you should research a little.
Regardless, I'll go out on a bit of a limb and suggest EFC will do better in the next three years than RFC.

In your 'mind', how does staying with a club without a chance for a premiership in the next three years signify having no balls?

He owes Richmond nothing, especially with the way one Greg Miller has treated him in recent years.

No balls because he'd rather take it easy in the ol comfort zone than relish the challenge... similar to how Murphy goes about his footy....

and whats Greg Miller done other than a damn good job,...

He's ****ed off Sheedy a hell of a lot, largely with the way he goes about player poaching.

I'm not disputing that he's done good things for RFC, but he and Sheedy apparently have some serious issues.

im not so sure about that, I recall sheeds talking on radio admiring the lengths that Miller went to to try and secure solomon.and that we missed by that much...well done he stayed and playing good footy...My point is that in reality I reckon you guys are just as close to the next flag if its sheeds/Harvey/Danniher or Ronald McDonald.....For us its different we need an experienced campaigner thats been there and done that...

I am a little worried, in contrast to my earlier post - which is a reaction to Bojangles rather than a serious discussion.

It would not surprise me that much if Sheeds did move on.

alright boofhead...I'll be dancing in the ailes like last yr , taking a bow at every bit of Krakeour magic....and directing all Bomber supporters to the Napier St museam...when they mention "History"

Was that the last time we played in August when you lost by 7 goals? or in May when you fooled the football world that you were 'decent' for 8 weeks and beat us?

What is it now ... 5 wins out of your last 30 games or something ridiculous?

Now I hope what i'm about to say will clear everything up for people. Last night i spoke to Simon Matthews, our media manager on SEN (off air). He said that the contract couldn't be signed last night because they had to offer it to sheeds. The contract will be sent to Kevin and his management, and hopefully it'll be signed on Tuesday-Wednesday.

Sheedy`s disdain for Miller

I would like to add That sheedy used some rather colourful language and i quote "Richmond is stuffing up football" in thier chase for Solomon , I found it quite interesting that Sheedy used the same spiel to hold onto Solomon that he used on Blumfield 3 years earlier ie: loyalty etc. only to push him out the door two years later . My point being that sheedy`s verbal was merely rhetoric in a last ditch desperate attempt to hold onto Solomon , which worked , I hope Solomon dosen`t end up with the same fate as Blumfield and many others . Loyalty goes both ways , don`t blame Miller.

I reckon Sheeds will go back to Richmond at some point. But not until Miller leaves.
Once again , sheedy`s attack on Miller was mere rhetoric, it was not meant personally he was only going his hardest to hang onto Solomon. I just read now that you boys are not budging to sheeds demands for a longer contract, get ready boys i`ll bet my left nut he is at punt rd next year , i`m sure you all know that deep down in your hearts that the time is now for both clubs , i`m sure that as each day ticks over sheeds knows it to

Miller's done a damn good job at Richmond? There's no recruiting resources, bugger-all infrastructure.

How, precisely? Struggling to work that one out.
Rome wasn`t built in a day , he has only been there 18 months and has been very limited up until the end of this season , in what he could do in re-structuring the football dept. i`m predicting when spud makes it official finally( that he won`t be around ) you will see the gloves come off and the real Greg Miller will come into his own. Lists are not built overnight and he took the first step last year with big clean out and drafting 5 ,17 year olds . I`m sure there will be another clean out this year and the foundations will be laid for the best available coach to come in and ressurect the tigers to thier rightful place , mock Greg Miller at your own peril bomber boys , I`m sure Sheeds is at the top of his list , you just better stop believing everything you read in the paper and remember , Miller always gets his man .

'Officially' Richmond haven't even approached Sheeds according to this morning's HUN.

I think it would be good for Football if Sheeds returned, and good for both clubs. But I dont think it's a goer.

It does raise the future of Mark Harvey though, if Miller really was as astute as some observers believe (i have my reservations) he would be holding out for Harvey, realising Sheedy may be too old to weave the magic anew again.
