Just to get it out of the way, I love this band. They've announced shows for the Corner and Annandale Hotel in September later this year.
They've been away writing and recording their 8th studio album, which I'm sure will be a cracker.
Anyhow, there's something much more awesome that they're doing. Unfortunately for us Aussies, we won't be so lucky, but in New Zealand, they're doing 7 shows over two weekends, in which they'll play every one of their 7 studio albums from start to finish.
Starting with their 1993 release Churn, followed by what was widely considered by fans as their best release, Killjoy from 1995. Then the self titled "Fish" album of 1997, The General Electric which put them on the map in Australia in 1999, the famous Pacifier album from 2002, the angry Love is the New Hate from 2005, and their most recent release from 2008 Beautiful Machine.
I will be attempting to fly to NZ for these shows, with my end of year Uni exams permitting. They will be some amazing shows. If only more bands did stuff like this for their fans...
I know this doesn't effect many people here, but I just thought I should share this awesome event that this band are putting on.
