With more knee troubles the man is looking like a past memory...

This is a silly poll. Hamill obviously has a degenerative knee problem and only he can make that judgement based on whether he feels the extra damage caused by playing one or two more years is worth the problems he may have latter i.e. need for knee replacement surgery at an early age. I really hope it isn't as bad as the media are portraying though. The Saints management of their players injuries over the past 3-4 years, has been absolutely terrible. :)

the question simply asks people if Hamill should retire given his recent status on his troublesome knee.

Only Hamill and his surgeon know the issues, so why speculate? :)

because then I would actually have to go back to do work. and lets face it none of us want to do that!

id rather talk about footy!!

:D

The medicos say he is a chance to return mid season and I love watching him play..so no.
I'm tipping that all Carlton supporters will want him to retire proving their shallowness.

Hey FM, has the Saints Pres got that "missing milions $" back off GT yet? I did warn you about the brewing GT disaster about 2 years ago didn't I. Oh well. :)

hey parrott...has pagan stopped bleeding your club dry yet whilst at the same time leading your club to lower depths.

Hamill should have retired last season. He is so injury-prone now that he won't be able to produce the form he was once in. If Aaron doesn't quit, he will become an even bigger laughing stock than Koschitzke. He may already be there.

Hey Parrot, has Craig Bradley paid back his paper bag money yet? if not then shut the f uck up:thumbsu:

No. There is no point in him retiring before the start of the bloody season FFS. He'll probably be able to play 3-6 games for the season, so if they just keep him in cotton wool until round 15 and then get him to build up a fitness base so he's ok for the finals I'll be happy.

It seems that he is incapable of putting together a whole season but while he's on the list we may as well just try to have him in the team when he is most needed.

I'd be very disappointed if he didn't do the right thing by the club and retire at the end of this year though. He can't go through rehab without injuring himself so I don't want to end up losing someone like Gram/X.Clarke/Montagna due to his salary.

Looking back the 5-year deal is a horrible decision, but at the time GT and Hamill were praised for ensuring stability and loyalty at the club, while securing our best player until the end of his career.

Yes, but I don't see the point retiring now before the season has begun. He will be given another chance to come up and be an enforcer but I don't think he can any more.
