Is it worth hanging onto Coughlan?

reckon it's worth it to hang on to him. I mean you chose him as a ready made cash sow, which he will be. So don't waste a trade. Who else are you going to get? Dyson? Can't do that because Houli & Dyson on one team, I think, is very risky, and you never know how Dyson's going to go after 1 bad and 1 good game. Tuck? He might struggle to find a game come a few weeks, plus you'd think Coughlan would be just fine as a cash sow anyway.

I have a bunch of cash sows in my midfield and only one real gun:

Cross
Johnstone
Stevens
Griffen
Palmer
Dyson
Coughlan
Bird

Since they're all doing fine I don't see why I would trade. Your situation is similar, I think. Keep the faith with Coughlan. He should be named this weke anyway. Although I will start Palmer ahead of him for at least this week.

Hmm I to have him
If i traded him next week for palmer this would free up some cash

or I trade Scott Selwood for Palmer and lose a few thousand

Decisions

Any opinions?

He didn't even play reserves on the weekend, so I wouldn't be getting your hopes up on him helping your DT anytime soon.

Never know I guess!

For those of you who say drop Coughlan, who would you recommend I get, since I have Palmer/Bird already? Coughlan to me is better than a Dyson/Houli player, and having Jack/Geary (plus wasting a trade) in my midfield would be asking for it IMO. Coughlan can come back and score 75 every week and be named every week. Don't think any of Geary/Jack/Tuck could do that.

I've got both Coughlan and Palmer

Palmer is in the ground, earning me points, Coughlan is on the bench as a ready-made cash cow

Both will earn me $

Is it worth hanging onto Coughlan?

Yes, why else did you get him?

He has hamstring tightness, which is normal for a knee reco returnee.

He should play VFL this week and be back playing AFL in a couple of weeks. Palmer or Ebert should prove handy emergencies until he comes good.

Whenever it is, I'm hanging onto him. Useless to dump him at this stage especially with Tuck injured. (Wona I am having in my backline.)

It doesn't hurt to have a mid-season cash cow.

Mark Coughlan has been experiencing ongoing issues with his hamstring over the past three weeks.

It was hopeful that he would be available to play this weekend, however he is yet to meet all of the criteria we expect for a return to play.

Given the vulnerability to hamstring injuries following ACL reconstructions, and ongoing soreness in his hamstring, we will be taking a conservative approach until we are satisfied Mark will cope with the demands of game day.

Further tests are being performed before a return to play date is set.

And that's only to start at Coburg ressies for match fitness. He's a long way away.
