You had to get a sphere with a star on it from the first castle and take it to the second castle to decipher the code for the final part of the game. It's just a matter of searching the first castle thoroughly to find it.

Rojo, I hear you brother. It was a gem of a game. It was a time when games were more difficult and challenging and only gamers played them. Now games are dumbed down so the mainstream casual gamers can enjoy them, it f...... sucks. Now I've got the Alex Kidd tune stuck in my head.
