Doesn't every club do this except us?
All the other clubs members have voting rights. The Dockers have one token elected board member. The WAFC owns both W.A. licences and i wonder why the Dockers have one and we don't. The only thing could be that the board/Nisbett wanted to control who was on the board, in other words yes men.

Fremantle haven’t had member elected board representatives since 2019. They are the same as us in that board members are approved by the WAFC

And look how good they are!

ha ha lol do you still wear a mask you wimp
No.

But it says more about you that you use the term "wimp" to describe people who are concerned about not just their health but yours.

Perhaps if you find yourself in an operating theatre, you could say that to all the medical staff? Or would you be too "wimpy" to have the convictions of your comments?

North melbourne 2022 package - announced pre grand final

North melbourne 2023 package - announced pre grand final

Gold Coast 2019 package - announced post grand final

West coast 2025 package - announced post grand final?

Buckle up boys, AFL has realised they ****ed up letting us be this bad for this long. Dillon's gonna be reading off our package like it's Big Smoke's Cluckin' Bell order.

Or we going to get SFA like a couple of rookie spots and 12 copies of List Management for Dummies.

The WAFC will only rubber stamp the recommendations from the 2 clubs. So Freo are no different to West Coast. Mates will will continue to nominate their mates to succeed them.

And it looks like they will do that again.

No open tender.

No competitve bidding for the rights to the GF.
The original deal back in the 1990"s was based on a massive upgrade to the MCG being carried out. The Great Southern Stand was part of that deal. Any landlord spending hundreds of millions of dollars would want the security of a long term lease.

And it's happening again.

Vic govt in discussions pitching in millions for upgrades to the MCG.

Not the point.

WA govt just funded building Optus.

For transparency hosting the GF should be by open tender. Then the competition gets the best deal. Not Victoria from a closed door arrangement.

Whilst there are more Pricktorian clubs than interstate clubs nothing will change.
Don't agree with open tender. Rotating it every 4-5 yrs around the mainland states might get some support.
Brisbane and Perth have had one why not Sydney and Adelaide.

Has the VFL forgotten we exist? Wasnt there a call on our priority picks apparently happening over grand final week? Or have i totally missed everything?

The AFL basking in its own glory at having 300k spectators at the G in 7 days and not wanting to shift the good vibes here in Melbourne until everyone starts talkong spring racing carnival.....cue about 4pm tomorrow.

Sydney and Adelaide wont get one unless there is an opportunity to tender.

Here's a novel idea. Half the teams are in Vic. The GF is held in Melbourne every 2nd year.

Every other year is tendered out interstate.

You've totally missed the point. Any landlord (MCG Trust) wishing to do upgrades worth hundreds of millions of dollars has to borrow that money and pay it back with interest. The banks would require that their tenant (VaFL ) sign up for a long term lease as part of providing guarantees for the loan
