Not sure that someone voting no is necessarily due to racism. There could be all sorts of reasons that a person could vote no.

This thread doesn't seem like a genuine question but rather troll bait or an excuse to start an argument. I'd like us to be grown up about things, and have adult conversations about important topics but, all I can see is this thread becomong emotionally driven and devolving into name calling and point scoring.

And the protests will continue…I’m still waiting for a suitable date to be suggested. The past is the past regardless. My personal view is just leave it there and embrace the invasion day aspect of it as part of the day.

I suppose that's an option - a bit like a well done funeral - where you both acknowledge grief and celebrate a life. I think we're miles off being able to do it though.

Just change the date. I want to keep an Australia day but if it upsets a lot of people to have it on that day, then the sensible thing is to change it.
