I know why Sheeds is playing winderlich instead of Mcgrath (although I think Mcgrath might get a game anyway). But why not Harvey. From all reports Harvey has been a real match winner in the VFL???

Am I mistaken?? What is going on???

Maybe Sheeds is upset about missing out on Judd and thinks that he needs to show Essendon supporters he has the speedy, ball-winning, winger covered.

I too am mystified as to why Teddy's been dropped. I saw a quote from Kev saying that it could rain on the weekend so we will need some wet weather types. Umm..... excuse me, didn't Richards achieve a Rising Star nomination against the crows,...... it was a bit on the damp side that night if i remember correctly. Sheeds, you is a genius, but you really confuse the ****e out of this lil black duck sometimes.

OK, here is a theory on the Winderlich inclusion.

Sheeds has included him to tag Heffernan. Simply to prove that trading Heffernan, (which allowed EFC to pick up both Lay**** and Winderlich instead of having to choose just one of them), was worth it.

I think I have an answer for Sheedy's changes this week. Melbourne rotate their two ruckmen quite a bit, therefore the need to include Alessio. Winderlich will be in the side because...well....who knows. Surely Sheeds would not be playing him to tag Heffernan to prove that he was right in trading him last year, besides, Heff hasn't done much this year. My guess is he would be there to tag a quick running player that Melbourne have plenty of, say, Adem Yze or Trav Johnstone. Not sure whether Winderlich is the best option here though. Personally I would have gone for Harvey or McGrath - blokes with a bit more experience so close to September. Richards & Henneman would have got the A because of Melbourne's lack of height, this is just simply horses for courses.

I'm looking forward to having a look at Winderlich myself, i've heard good things.

Cameron Hunter (son of Carlton legend Kenny) is named as an emergency for us & i'm seriously hoping there's a mishap at training & that he gets his first run.

Jared Rivers is also an emergency, two mishaps at training? ;)

At least a kid is getting a go - and not Barnard or Davies - the two biggest logs on our list.

Beautifully said. Desperate to see Harvey in the seniors again aswell, possibly at the expense of Bullen, as an experiment before the finals. He deserves a run!
