Who came up with it? it looks absolutly shocking, shrinks the forum space screenwise, and just makes the site look second rate.

And they've ditched the teams navigation panel at the top of the page. I used these all the time to open up new tabs and navigate around quickly. Not happy with that either...

The side panel is schizen; as is the removal of the navigation tabs from the top of the screen.
