Sierakowski? Christ help us they're scraping the bottom of the barrell.

At a loss to understand why Adkins isn't playing.

Hatchetman. Expect him to be suspended for about 4-5 weeks and about 3 crows players to have their year ended. We have to get with the times and pass on the baton of port adelaide thuggery. If we can't win with skill, we have to smash them off the face of the earth.

The Hack!

I know we are all followers of The Book of Woosha - but I am finding it very dificult this week to remain a true believer . How can a hack like Sierakowski warrant a game? I saw both he and Willo last week and, even allowing for my Royals bias, there is no way he deserves a game ahead of Willo. What happened to the theory " we reward good form in the WAFL" that Woosha has consistently maintained:mad: Where does it leave young players like Seaby, Hansen and even Lynch when a 28 year old who has not played since round 19 last year gets a game? I hope the hack goes out and proves me wrong, but I doubt it. Rant over.

On a positive note, congratulations to Adam Selwood on his first game. He is one player who has had outstanding WAFL form and warrants his selection.

And also congratulations to Zac Beeck on his promotion to the senior list. He has been playing first ruck for East Perth and has been terrific.

I will be there as usual supporting the boys - even the hack;)

I think that the messages from training and selection are that WCE are being pumped for a physical game. And Sierra is physical. He can play CHF, CHB or ruck. With BB he is FF or nothing and we have the highest scoring forward structure in the league now so why change it?
Given that, it is a big possibility that BB will come in for Doogs (injury) in which case the demolition game will definately be on.

Agreed, although I think Seaby is not ready yet, but being a Falcons man and watching him ergularly at WAFL level I reckon he's going to be very good when he matures. Hansen is also a little off the pace but I would have thought it better to blood him ahead of Sierakowksi.

Wilson or Lynch would have been my choices instead of Siera.

Hopefully Chambers can add some run, Adkins hasn't been given enough of chance yet and deserves a better go - I reckon he's good around goals and has the potential to augment the forward structure, although we still need a spearhead to take the pressure off our small forwards.

We won't be able to match up against the Crows forwards.

Was thinking something similar - probably will be his last game, so maybe he should put some studs into Careys dodgy knee, and an elbow to the back of McLeods head. Time we dished a bit out.

Yep, everything Vicki said.

I'd also have brought Wilson back for the Port game. It was always going to be a 'tough' game, and the added presence of a physical player wouldn't have gone astray.

Being named as an emergency, I guess there's a slim chance.

No one is more shocked than me that the Kow's getting a game, but we are a young inexperienced team up against an experienced team and Siera will give us experience and size.

Personally, I would've expected Lynch and then Wilson to get a game before him, but it just goes to show what the match committee think of those two atm.

With Adkins, he's a bit of a luxury player. Either a forward pocket (but can't get in ahead of Fido & the Sampmeister) or a winger on the expansive ranges of Subiaco. He doesn't seem to play at all well on the smaller pitches, yet we pick him for those away matches. Having him and Chambers in the same 22 is a recipe for disaster unless the other 20 dominate and none are injured, so I'm not surprised that with Chambers in, Adkins is out.

Even then, I could still see any or all of the 3 emergencies playing this week, depending on what we don't know on the injury front.

I'm at a loss to explain the inclusion of Sierakowski.

A would've though it better to blood one of Hansen or Seaby, or give Lynch another chance to see how he can go.....

Amidst all the head shaking and head scrathing...

Good luck Siera!! hope you kill 'em!

(or it's back to the western front for you)

Im guessing he is being played ahead of the youngsters as Woosha didnt want to "debut" 2 players in such an important game, rather going for the experienced player who while not being awesome at WAFL level is being consistent, and also giving him a chance at ONE LAST throw of the dice at AFL level. Good luck to him, hope he goes well:)

It'll be the Man's last game for the club, I think we should just wish him well.

Seira had a pretty good game actually. Strong marks in the backline, presented as a target up forward, he just cant ruck. Actually gave me some confidence in the backline seeing Seira go near the ball.

For now saved his spot for the next few weeks, if he plays like he did today for the rest of the season we may see life in Seira next year yet...but at the moment i wouldnt expect that. Certaintly justified his inclusion for this week though.

He looked very solid. Probably one of thoise guys that will never stand out at WAFL or AFL level, but is good enough to the job he is asked at whatever level he plays.

I'd say he will play out the season, and if form continues may get a one year contract next year.....

I thought he was pretty good. Took some good marks in the backline and always gives his best no matter what.

He should stay in the team and might even get a one year contract for next year.... as an insurance type player in case injuries come up again

Sierakowski was serviceable. However If we are looking to the future I can't see him on our list at the end of this season.
