Does anyone think Troy Simmonds might be used for tradebait at the end of the year..........
With Murphy coming in, mcpharlin likely to go forward if polak stays and Jlo and Sandilands doing a good job in the ruck where will he fit in ?
He'd probaly have good trade value at present and a couple of vic clubs needing a ruckman, could he be in the josh carr or stenglein deals via a 3-way trade ?

I heard something along those lines from someone very much in the know at the club around derby time. I dismissed it as "conjecture" and "too early in the season for that sort of talk", but what you have said actually makes sense Brickie. Thing is, IMO, is that he has been spending a fair amonut of time learning to be a forward, that you wonder why they would bother if they were just going to trade him. He's also a Dep VC and is often one of the chosen players who fronts the media, so you would think that he is pretty highly regarded at the club.

Im not really for in trading him, our ruck depths would be tested if jlo or sandilands got injured. Id heard a rumour about Carlton chasing him a couple of days ago but thats probaly all it was.
In regards to josh carr i reckon hes more than likely gonna stay at port anyway, he seems pretty loyal to them .
Id be surprised if heath black isnt in purple next year though .

Ya reckon?? I would've thought the boat had well sailed on that one. Surely won't get him for pick 28 like we could have / should have last year. He's had a pretty good season with StK.

I definately hope not.. Simmonds is only just learning the forward line and is doing a pretty damn good job of it really. If he starts to get some of the frees he deserves, and starts gloving a few of those marks he sometimes fumbles, i can see him being a 50 goal a year stay at home forward.

I've changed my tune. I didn't think he was the answer, but i'm becoming impressed.

No way should be trade Simmonds. Always provides a contest and every team should have at leave 3 quality ruckmen going round (to cover for injuries). He's been great since he's been at Freo.

Absoloutely not. The man is the closest thing to a genuine, consistent full forward this club has had other than Modra.

Snake will improve further yet.

Pretty handy tall to have if JLo or Sandi go down as well.

Freo WILL NOT TRADE Snake he is our best option at CHF and allows Pav to play in the midfield where IMO he plays best. Murphy (Spud) will be our next Full Forward he has all the attributes, quick, good hands and an acurate kick inside 50. JLO & 211 will share the ruck with JLO spending time up forward.
Most teams go into a game with 5 talls we have Snake, 211, TLO, MaPharlap & Polly. We also have Rash and Pav who can play tall. IMO don't trade any of them and play them all.
