Down about $45,000 after an injury during the R1 game and getting tagged out of it in R3. Got a great score in R2 though. Had a stellar year last season in DT as most would know (consistently high - over 100 for 11/22 games, over 90 for 15/22).

Is he worth trading for? Anyone think his price will drop further?

Give him another week or two, Adelaide are playing Sydney this week who have a habit of keeping their opponents' possessions down. By my calc's (yup worked out the formula) he needs 127 points to keep his value for the next round, he should drop around 15k more.

i had him at the start of the year and traded him for black. He could keep getting injured. There are so many more centers you can chose who wont have the injury worries of goodwin.

Yep he loses the 4 he got in round1, but because he got 45 in round3 his average for the 3 weeks (round2, round3, round4) will still be way below what it should be at unless he has a ripper game and scores more than 127.

Goodwin isnt injury prone i dont know what everyone is talking about, he got a bad corkie boo hoo, that doesnt mean hes injury prone at all. He will play badly against Sydney this week (as the trend suggests), i would give it 2-3 weeks before the time is right to pick him up and right when he will start becoming the DT powerhouse we know he can be.

Even if he scores the 127 and stays the same you still get an extra week with your cash cow and can buy him at the same price.

You're right, but typically players score below their average when playing against Sydney.

Trade away Barry Hall if you can. He probably won't score any goals as Ben Rutten will keep him at bay.

Better off getting a Craig Bolton, O Keefe or another running player if you can.

Keep Goodwin, even though he'll go down, don't waste your trades as he'll improve later on in the season.

I dont know about Goodwin, in the paper on Sunday it said he only played 68 minutes of the match. I would want to see that increase before getting him.

I just had another look then and i got it wrong, it was Lenny Hayes i was thinking of that only played 68 minutes. Goodwin played 98.

I will be waiting until next week (or the week after) to trade Giansiracusa for Goodwin i think.

I am of the opinion that guns should not be traded out for other guns unless they are injured or you are convinced that their form has dropped and won't return. I think Giansiracusa is a great player but his consistency lets him down and this stops him from being a "gun player".

What do you guys think?

If Goodwin scored 100-110 this week, he will roughly be the same price. So for those waiting to get Goodwin's price to go down further, you'll have to hope he performes well below average. He averaged 98 last year. Might not matter if you get him this week or next.

If Goodwin gets 113 this week his price will stay around the current price. If he was to get 80 this week his price will fall by around $9,900.

hes playing Sydney so its very likely he will get under 100. Might get tagged but might go head to head with goodes. Im gonna wait till next week then get him.
