I challenge everyone on here to put down exactly what it is he does wrong. Don't read everyone else's post, just put it up.

The issue with this board on the whole is people just get "impressions" of players and thats what sticks in their heads without any real reason why other than "its just a vibe".

Wiggins doesn't stand out, he is one of those features you dont notice, like the bloody wall.

He single handedly put us in a winning position against the weagles last year with a stellar performance, lobbing them straight onto Fevs chest from fifty out on the run on the boundary....something no one else on the team seemed to be able to do.

People continuously berate walker because someone once mentioned he was crap at kicking, yet are totally unable to realise change and that this is no longer the case.

I want to hear about his turn overs, how he is crap kick, his appalling disposal, his shirking the issue, his appalling leg speed....lets hear it !!

Wiggins is not Murphy, or Judd or even walker. But he should certainly be in our 22 and I would not be de listing the guy until the plethora of kids who haven't shown us squat come good.

The main issue for me with Wiggins is what position does he play? He's not quick, or a ball-winner, so he's not a tall midfielder. He's not tall enough to be a key position forward, but he's not a crumbing forward either. His defensive skills are only so-so - definitely not a tall defender, but doesn't really run and carry the ball so he can't be a winger or flanker.

Like so many of our other failures, thats the problem. Because he is medium at anything, he never beats his opponent. Most opponents can do what he can, and then some - they're either quicker, or taller, or better ball-winners, or whatever. Wiggins is solid everywhere, but a winner no-where.

Best position for him seems to be as a backup fourth option up forward, a kind of extra leading tall who goes up the flanks and gets out of Fevs way; kind of a decoy. Problem is, he doesn't have the ability to hurt the other team if they zone off him, so his effectiveness is limited.

In essence, Wiggins is solid enough all-round to be a great player at VFL level, but doesn't do anything well enough to be successful at AFL level, when the pace, size and skill level just jumps up that bit higher
