Thought I would set this up for the skevs boys feel free to talk about anything relating to our team this year key players etc

How does everyone think Skevs will go this year

TDK

skevs were talked up last year on this website. i doubt they would be stupid enough to talk about "key players" on this forum as they got ahead of themselves as there not in for a big year anyway.

Spare me TDK, typically over optimistic skevs boy. You guys will get dominated by the pace, power and strength of Hailebury to name one, with the likes of Martin, Nicolopoulos, Scully and more to rip you open in the middle, and guys like Vickery and Lynch with height to dominate the ruck and marking contests. Add players like Ash Smith who can play anywhere, as most of the midfield can, and youv got an extremely professional outfit who will be inordinately hard to beat this year.

uve really gotta get over baggin everyone...thats all u do. if u bothered to read the thread its not saying anything about skevs being up the top this year...its saying talk about things relating to the team...not the competititon and where their gonna finish.

st kevs will be the underdog of the aps competition.
they are a very close knit group who work well as a team.
good ruck in jacob castricum who did well as a year 10 last year.
with griffiths, cachia and broadhurst all playing the majority of their games last year, they wouldve matured a lot from the big step up from 10A to 1st XVIII
they probably lack height but they have a strong midfield that could make up for it.

hardly an underdog, were favourites for last years premiership at one stage and didnt exactly do badly, finishing top 4 or so. No doubt they will be good, but probably not right up there with the likes of xavier and hailebury.

Depends how hard castricum wants to work, hasn't set the world a light with his running times, but its capable of a great year..Is luke andrews playing at st kevs ? He should have a good year, also tom johnson, i think the red head kid is another one that has potential, st kevs could indeed go okay, play well together.

hahaha some of the thoughts here are laughable. going by their season last year st kevins will struggle... losing to carey in the last game of the season. ur dreaming boys st kevins are horrible.!

St Kevins are a more than decent side, however I think they missed a golden opportunity last year with their terrific start only to have their form deteriorate massively in Term 3.

Cachia is a match winner and one of the best players in the comp.
Broadhurst is a headache for most sides.
Castricum is highly rated and will win his fair share of the ball.
Purcell straightens them up and provides a good target.
Andrews is a talent that will only get better.

Throw in young guns from Yr 10 and they will pose problems for the bottom half of the comp. Can't see them threatening the powerhouse schools like Haileybury, Xavier and Caulfield though.

i think it is fair to say St Kevin's is there abouts every yr but has an extreme lack of depth. last yr they had a great start which moved them into premiership contenders but a number of injuries to top players and others missing due to other comittments they failed to finish the season off. i know depth has being a real problem over the past couple of yrs and was wondering if this yr was any different? Does St Kevin's have a solid list of 30 players this yr or there standard list of 20 with the other 10 not being up to stratch? i don't want any carey type posting here, talking your team up, only an honest answer

much like last year...lack of depth

Skevs already hit with a major injury...

One of their key forwards is out for the year which they can't afford with a lack of depth beyond their top 12.

Source? One of your players from last year was at the skinny dog on the weekend.

Broadhurst won't play at Skevs for a while
