I am a North supporter , but I come in peace.
I'd just like to comment on the skill level of the Eagles. For such a young team their skills are exceptional. Players like Judd, Fletcher, Chambers, Kerr etc can seem to pinpoint team mates most of the time. Most of our blokes couldn't hit a cows arse with a banjo.
How old is Peter Matera? He's running around like he's 22 not 32. And Jaka. He's back near his best.
At the start of the year I thought you blokes were dead and buried. Looking very promising at the moment.
Please advise where we can get some of these skillfull youngsters.

Cheers mate :) Wouldnt worry though, a lot of people that werent Eagle supporters had us dead and buried at the start of the year. But guys like Kerr, Chambers, Judd and Fletch most of the time really are coming along. Plus Jako and Matera as you said are turning back the clock.

With a few other youngsters like Haynes, Munro, Hunter, Cox, Sampi, Gaspar, Green, Humm and a few unproven kids like McDougall, Seaby and Hansen we are all pretty confident of been a top team in the next few years.

Sometimes i think its all thanks to Whoosha but i may be wrong, i mean the Roos have one of the best coaches in the league in Pagan but if you dont have the cattle......

Dont wanna sound horrible but none of your youngsters really stood out to me in the game, although you guys were soundly beaten. Hope things turn around for ya.

Thanks mate.

Ok we knew that Judd and Kerr were skillfull players but others like Fletcher, Chambers, etc hadn't shown anything special last year under our old coach. Some even regarded quite a few of our new players as "hacks" and the old ones as "had beens". We knew all along that our team wasn't that bad but they were all bored and disinterested. Training and playing, was just like a 9 to 5 boring job, not something that they were looking forward to. Then came along a new coach with new ideas. He's very organized, intelligent, with an eye for the detail and some say that he knows how to instill confidence and enthusiasm on the players. That changed everything. The so called "hacks" blossomed into skillful players and the "had beens" came back from the dead and are playing like there is no tomorrow. But there is still a long way to go. The Eagles haven't learned yet how to win away and that is our next step. Once we learn how to play away with the same determination that we do at home, then the Eagles may become once again the powerhouse of the competion. Anyway thanks for your post and good luck to the Kangaroos for the rest of the season.
