Sky Channel is running the Star Stable again. For those not familar with this, it's like a Dreamteam/Supercoach format but for horses during the Spring Carnival.

Entry is free and the prize is a share in 3 fillies until June 2011.

Have joined it mate.

The setup seems a lot more straight forward than last comp. $1mil to spend on 10 horses (Weekend Hussler is @ $250k) as well as 1 jockey selection.

They have done away with the split-up of horses, ie. 2yo, Sprinters, Middle Distance, Stays etc, just pick 10 horses.

The website offers a download of the schedule of races and the horses. A bit disappointed that Whobegotyou is not in there (yet)

Well done Ted.

Like many stables, the non-performance of Weekend Hussler (early) and Princess Coup (later in the comp) dented my chances for finishing any higher.

Also picking Hugh Bowman as my first jockey and then gets suspended. I replace him with the "on fire" D. Oliver who I mozz and then he gets suspended.

Good game. Looking forward to the rematch in Autumn'09 NSW version
