Was speaking to my brother-in-law the other night - Carlton man - he observed that our forward line was slow. I thought he had a point. We rarely seem to get a clear lead for the midfielders to target, and whenever we do the backman is right on their hammer.

Thoughts?

Shulz just doesnt lead.
Richo is our only leading target and with him gone well (hopefully) be replacing him with Kingsley, i dont know why everyone thinks hes a dud, i think hell be a handy pick up for us this year and a few years to come.
Drop Shulz and chuck Cleve Hughes or Jack Riewoldt in the square with Kent.

Shultz does lead but he just doesn't do it very well and often would prefer to try and take a contested mark. He's low on confidence but I still think he's the best option as the FF because despite the WCE game he has a better kick for goal then Richo.

Kingsley is good for the cheap goals but don't expect him to stand up when he's really needed.

I think Meyer, Deledio or Tambling as leading forwards add some pace to our forward line. But Tambling is in the centre more now, and Deledio is , well, everywhere.

Meyer's leads were reasonable on the weekend, but, again he got the ball punched away from behind heaps as well. I thought he was supposed to be pacey?

Another aspect is our slow FP, Krakouer. Edwards or King might be better in this position.

He is right we should get Lance Whitnall in there to make us quicker. Also put Kingsley in the side now then we will be fast :)

I don't know if it's the forwards being slow, or maybe more of a case of the midfield being slow to make decisions.
