G'day all, just wondering who the fat bloke playing guitar for the Pumpkins is and where have we seen him before? Myself and a couple of mates have been trying to figure it out but can't quite place it.

Cheers,

Herbs.

Thanks, Jeff it is. Don't worry, I'm not that sheltered that I don't know who Billy Corgan is.

Which album should i grab people. I just started listening to them and i really like Doomsday clock2. Which album would be best to download for somebody new to them?

Get your hands on both "Siamese Dream" and "Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness." They're both bloody fantastic.

I'm getting Zeitgeist now, 7 Shades of Black sounds good. Those two albums will be next. Are the others worth getting?

Ahh Deeman. We meet again.

Siamese Dream is IMO their best album. Listen to Cherub Rock, Disarm... Well the whole album is brilliant. Mellon Collie is also a great album, but for a new fan and someone just getting into the Pumpkins, I would go for Siamese Dream and Zeitgiest first and then get Mellon Collie later... Mellon Collie tends to be a bit more intense, and IMO Siamese Dream would lead you into Mellon Collie. If that makes sense.

Adore is also a good album. Its a bit different to their usual stuff, but thats how I got into the Pumpkins.

Would you be interested in getting Pumpkins DVDs? Or would you rather get the CDs first. I would say get Smashing Pumpkins Greatest Video Hits, which would obviously give you some of their best stuff. Vieuphoria (I think thats how you spell it) is also great for live footage etc.

I dloaded Zeitgeist and i am really really enjoying it. I haven't enjoyed an American album this much since i fisrt listened to Nevermind and Superunknown. The users seem to rate Siamese Dreams so that will be next. Great band man.

If you enjoy Zeitgeist then you should love their earlier works...
