Some explanations would be nice. For example, why do you have us drafting Lisle when we already have Glass, Hunter, McKenzie, Spangher, Wilkes, Schofield and Brown as potential key defenders?

And why would Collingwood take Yarran when they have three of the best small forwards in the league as it is?

2nd That - We have the Best Small Forwards so why would we draft another.

Rather of Taken Swift or Blease

perhaps if clubs decide to go on best available. But you are right, you need explanations to make it worthwhile. Explanations show us whether you actually know your stuff or you have randomly chucked names in.

I give credit to anyone who has a shot at a mock draft, but i just cant comment on the potential brilliance or stupidity of this attempt without explanations

Ones I do with No Explanations do look like I just Put Names to Teams.

Be doing 1 Last one the Week of the Draft with Explanations

...Glass, Hunter, McKenzie, Spangher, Wilkes, Schofield and Brown as potential key defenders?

After Hudghton St Kilda have Blake, Fisher, Maguire, Gilbert, Gwilt and Allen. It's pretty much an accepted BF fact that we're looking for a key defender with our first pick.

Fact is, if WC like Lisle better than what they've got, if they like him better than the other players available, they'll take him. He'll be around long after Glass and Hunter retire and he's no more unproven than the other guys there.

And I'm stunned that Collingwood people would be against Yarran. They're great at developing the small forward types into midfielders. Leon Davis looks like an AA-level midfielder now. Didak and Medhurst are AA forwards. Thomas is coming along nicely. I think Yarran would be a great fit there.
