There was a bit of biff in the USA - Puerto Rico match.
The bench clearing incident was due to Casiano being ****ed that McGrady picked his pocket and then showboated (in Casiano's eyes). So Casiano bumped McGrady and benches cleared. It looked like play stopped and McGrady thought a foul had been called so he stopped under the ring - no foul called - he slams the ball.
A PR player got hit with a cup of beer. Ouch.
Looking forward to Aus vs NZ.
Oh, and I think Jermaine O'Neal wants out after this season. Aww.

a 79-66 victory over the burger king tall blacks..
Tony Ronaldson led the Boomers with 19 points while Chris Anstey added 12 points and nine rebounds. Sam Mackinnon contributed 11 points and Matthew Nielsen and John Rillie each had 10. Kirk Penney was the best of the Tall Blacks with a game-high 22 points.

A very easy and comfortable win there for trhe Boomers. I knew we would win. We are better then them. Good stuff there by Ronaldson. The 2nd match where the boomers win the series is tonight. Does anyone know a site where I could see live scoring of it?

I dont know what the score I was I only know they won.
Good performance. Thats the series not bad against a team that finished 4th in the world championships last year. They have a good team. Dont think they were missing anyone either.

We won 90 -76.
Shane Heal top scored with 32 points on 8/14 fgs, 6/8 3pt & 10/13 ft.
Ronaldson was our next best scorer with 15 points while Anstey added 12 points aswell.

We were great in the 3rd and 4th quarters.
We didn't have Heal in the world championships and I think he could have been one of the things that stuffed us up. He rules. 32 points!!

I watched the highlights of Game #1 on Foxtel last night at 11 and I saw a largely sloppy match.
I kept my eye on Kirk Penney, because a NZ Spurs fan I know is a big wrap for him, and obviously he has a bit of a reputation through some Summer League games and an interest from Minny.
While he obviously has a nice shooting touch from outside, he didn't impress me any more than anyone else in the ball game.
He is a smart player though and seems to have a good body for the game.
Out of the Aussies, Slamming Sam was good. Showed signs of his old self, while Ronaldson was probably our best. Nice outing from Anstey too I might add.
Sounds like a good win last night too.
