I'm more than happy to have a debate about anything to do with this club. This thread is a nightmare because people are standing on the sidelines sniping while adding nothing to the thread. Although come to think of it, you've made a career out of that.

Not at all, i've backed up all of my issues and positives with reasons. You just choose not to listen to them.

Rather than just being a ********, why don't you use your head for once and say why you disagree.

I disagree because if you think exactly what we needed was a slow, non penetrating, cheating, one dimensional, one way footballer is what we need then it's laughable.

I meant he's somewhere between the 20th best and 25th best player on our list.

ha ha. even funnier. Drafting a 26 year old, who's slowing down from an already slow pace, who's soft, who has a history of serious knee injuries, who's somewhere between our 20th and 25th best player (even though he's further out than that). Gee wiz..... If you could get a ******* idea on what is right or wrong for our club then your opinion might actually hold some weight.

Got an opinion on Dyson yet that you want to add?

Acctually. We'll have an opinion on Dyson's ANZAC Day game this year and his game against the Eagles last week.

15 clubs overlooked Cousins, get over it.
If we were gonna pick a mature age player in the PSD (most clubs want young players, don't use this "15 clubs overlooked Cousins" bullshit), why the hell would we not pick up a Brownlow winning premiership captain over a washed up VFL player?

He'd sure as hell add more than Skipworth! What a dumb decision to draft someone who is as useless as **** on a bull as a "mentor"..can't the other senior players be mentors!

I shits me that people are still using this line. Pull your head out of the sand. They drafted Skipworth becasue he could play. He has proven this year that he can play at AFL level. He is not a star but he has done the job he was drafted for and that was give us some depth in the midfield. out of 10 games he has been pretty good in 6 of them. Maybe you should learn to watch games without any pre concieved bias!!

If we drafted another crumbing forward Davey could spend more time in the middle, which I may add would only benefit our team. They are different players.

Garbage! They are the same type of player. Light quick small forwards. Davey does not have the engine to play midfield.

Skipworth is playing VFL.
Cousins is about to be offered a new contract, a payrise, and maybe even the captaincy.

What an outstanding recruiting decision this has proved to be.

And hindsight is a wonderfull thing. good on the people who got this right. I was one that was on record as not wanting Cousins, mainly becasue i was worried about soft tissue injuries. So far it has proven he will be ok.

However all those bagging the Skipworth decision are you right with every player rating you have ever come up with ?
It is easy to claim your victories and do a bit of chest thumping but footy is not an exact science. History says you are doing well if you get 70% of your decisions right. How many think that Knights has got more than 70% wrong ?

Sure it would be great to have Cousins playing with us right now but he is not.

Maybe becasue no club in the leauge has a record of getting evey decision correct. Everyone had a reason for not picking him up. Ours proved to be wrong but why keep going on about it.
What can you change by whinging about it ?
FFS every club makes mistakes on players every year. You are never going to get a perfect result all the time.

Time to start living in the real world. Be happy that your judgment on Cousins was good but realise that if you get even 60% of your list managment decisions right you will more than likely end up playing finals.

This was my train of thought. I would rather have Cousins then Skippy.

to those that so desperately wish we'd drafted Cousins, one question: would he play in our next premiership team?

If the answer is no, which it is, then wtf are you all sooking about?

Whether or not Skipworth will or won't play a part in our next premiership is irrelevant, as he might; whereas Cousins definitely won't.

These are the factors that had to be decided upon by these with the responsibility when making the decision, which really seems to have escaped the hindsight heroes around these parts

God I hate that line of argument. By that logic we should only have 22 players on our list. It's rubbish.

That depends which way you look at it.

Add Cousins to our side and we might have got over more of North,Rich,Adelaide,WC, Brisbane. It could see us pushing close to top 4 this year.

Add a fit Hille next year with Ryder, Winderlich adn McVeigh with preseasons and a few other sides waning and we could have been in it up to our ears next year!

Can you please ask him WTF is with his run up for set shots?

He's always has had that approach and his inaccuracy has never been a problem until this year. So I don't think it's a technique issue.

Correct. Sometimes it is more pronounced but he has always had it. And as you say he is normally far more accurate.

...and what is this exactly?

...who was it that wanted Cousins over Skipworth again?

Agreed :thumbsu:. Im just gonna throw in that Richmond gave up their 3rd round pick in a strong draft for Adam Thomson. Must be one of the only guys left on their list that is yet to play this year. Pretty obvious that the only club willing to take a chance on Cousins saw him as a massive risk also.

The same reason a guy like Jetta cant get a look in at the minute. Pretty obvious Knights prefers guys who want it over guys who could throw it away.
