Some great goals

Over the years I have had the pleasure to see some of the pie greats kick sensational goals. You know the goals that make the hairs on the back of your neck stand up.
I saw Daics kick one from the scorboard boundary line forward pocket against Geelong at Waverly.
I saw Bucks let go from and kick one after taking one step outside the centre circle at the MCG.
I saw Pebbles kick that monster from the wing at the G
I saw Mick's seven bounce special against Carlton at the G.
I saw Dermie "scissor kick" one from the goal sqaure at the G in about his 5th game for us.
And now I 've seen Ryan Lonie run from the defensive 50 take 4 bounces and slot one from well outside 50 - and yep it made the hairs on the back of neck stand up just like all the others.

Am I the only one who thinks it was three bounces, not four? I'll have to go watch it again.

it was 3 bounces.

I think he had a little quick bounce just as he took possession plus 3 more on the run.

What is with players bouncing the ball straight away after gaining possession??? I've seen that many blokes do it this season, it's unbelievable.

It's a just a dumb thing to do.

I think with most of them it is just an instinctive reaction. Probably something they picked up in their junior years.

Nup, it was definitely three. One relatively soon after getting it (but not that soon), then a couple more and a longish run at the end before kicking. Still sweet as!
