Can be recognised as I still look a lot like myself in 2000 : http://www.bigfooty.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=78186 with shorter hair ... and will probably be dressed simmy lally

Not guaranteed I can make it yet, but, if I do, if any of yers see me, feel free to say gerday!

Good luck for tomorrow, I'm not sure who to barrack for, probably Brissy concering the guernsey ... I'm going because of the curtainraiser ...

M3 is where its at. Original tunes and plenty of fun. Pies supporters only please.

Well that's part of the area we've got :p Obviously not all of it, there ain't that many of us (what's changed!). You're gonna have to learnt to share. Give your older brother some of the soda. GIVE HIM SOME SODA. YOU CAN'T HAVE BOTH.

Will any of yers be giving West Brunny some support in the early match? Would be good for them, and for the banter early on.

CAAS, if you see some Roys fans bein' idiots there, come over and ask for Kev (me)!

Weeeee're Fitzroy the Reds we are.
Fitzroy the Reds we are, we are.
We've pumped plenty of teams before.
Your'e gonna get pumped by ... even more.

And every one was competitive (bull****).
They all were a challenge on the day (no way).
If you're not even gonna be competitive.
Why the **** show up today.

Hey Collingwood. This is our highlight of the last 7 years. Please don't ruin it by being nice to us.

Well I was up in standing behind the fence in M3 ... were any of you blokes there?

I left at quarter time, but I can describe my surroundings as devoid of Collingwood fans until in the interims between the two matches, and there were probably only about 8 to 12 Roys there.

Some bloke I didn't know had a hawks scarf but was barracking for the Lions, and was perhaps a little underdone in the education department. Amusing that one female Pies fan, upon hearing him say he'd paid $17 to see this (wasn't much of a match in the first quarter), remarked that she was prepared to pay $17 for him to leave :)

Down front, the bloke who was accused of not being able to speak, was the infamous Whitney, now even more infamous for reasons I won't go into for fear of prejudicing a jury.

I was stationed standing beside a lovely Collingwood supporting lady of the senior population, who sported Cheltenham colours on a scarf outside her Pies colours (sic ... neither are technically colours).

Any Pies there missed the best part, when the Reds were playing, as we were a little more interested then, and there was plenty more singing and yelling, whereas it was comparatively quiet during Q1 of the main match.

I could espy Joffa down at the fence, would have liked to have said gerday (we had always got along ok back when he was on Bigfooty), but opportunity didn't arise.

Anyways, of course, it wouldn't have been a match that Pies fans would care to remember, as it was a bit earth-bringing-back-down-to, but I would read too much into it, it just meant that yers hadn't been tested properly these last few weeks, and hitting an angry team on fire at this time of year might actually have been the kick in the behind the Pies need to lift the notch that is required going into the finals.

Make no mistake, Collingwood ARE capable of great feats this finals season, they just need to take stock of their current output, and get a bit of focus happening.

Good luck for the rest of the season. Comments about scarlet ladies and requests to ship goals in by tanker to alleviate their drought were aimed at West Brunny, not at the Pies ;)

Cheers,

Kev

PS : Was tempted to ask people around me if anyone was CAAS, but I think Pies fans were a little brittle at the time due to some pretty damn dominant play by Brisbane, so I thought I'd do the honourable thing and let yers all be.

I was there kev. I was wearing a dryza bone coat as it was a little cold, plus I had some Jim in my pocket.
We were boistrous all day but obviously were not happy with the outcome. I was impressed by a few of the chants coming from M4. Looked like a mini roys grog squad.

Cheers

Oh, maybe we were in M4, I thought it was M3. Yeah some of those old blokes are from the original Fitzroy Lynch Mob, prior to when Lynch cried into his new money and went to Brisbane.

I had a dryza too, well a Mountain Mac actually (cheap imitation), I rckon a bloke standing down bottom left of that area had a dryza on. Had to step past him and his mates and grab my bag back when the crowd started ebbing and flowing.

Ahh well, we were both there, that's just about as good as meeting ;)
