I get that it's not everyone's taste. I find a significant percentage of punk rock songs hard to listen to. We've all got different music tastes.

I just find it hard to believe people can sit down and listen to that and enjoy it, I dont even know what scenario I should be in to enjoy listening to someone scream.

I never listened to screamo until my 40s. For me it's great at work, and at the gym. I tend to listen to chill techno at home, and with cardio workouts, driving etc.

It's got a powerful energy that's not all about ANGER, it's about emotion. I think those emotions of sadness are definitely worth exploring. There's no point bottling everything up as if life is wonderful.

There was a documentary on ABC, or SBS or somewhere about a heavy metal screamo band in Tasmania from memory and the guy had the most amazing vocal range.

Having said that, a good Heavy metal song with screamo is more than just the vocals. Personally I think it's got to have a lot of other solid components.
