I know I got melty during NZ round when I couldn't nom The Beth's song I wanted to. Yes I only found them through bandcamp.

My daughter is a budding musician and think the lead singer / guitarist is anazing so I bought tickets to their Roundhouse show tonight to just give her gig experience and inspiration. She is only 14 so gigs she can go to are limited.

They were really good and think is something that will really stick with her.

Great night. Now I have to say awake to watch the Cats salute. Too old.

Cool little compilation I just found. Bunch of psych/sludge bands covering Syd Barrett era (best era) Pink Floyd.

Some tight bands. Kylesa() Intronaut, Pentagram, Jesu, Jarboe, Unearthly Trance, Yakuza and more. Just wall to wall ripper bands covering ripper songs.

The last concert I attended was Bloc Party's 20th anniversary tour last month. This was their setlist:

Pretty much all of Silent Alarm, and the three songs they performed from A Weekend At the City had been nommed except for, what I thought was Prince of Gasoline. I searched it in the spreadsheet and it didn't appear, so I thought "you beauty, there's my nom sorted", and sent it at around 10pm Thursday night before nodding off.

I woke up at 7am, saw the PM which said that it had been nommed already, but was written in the spreadsheet as "Price of Gas" and not "Price of Gasoline" so CG let it through. I went to change to Team A (the only song they performed from Four, which has grown on me in time), but a few people had voted already (since the noms went up at 1am).

Do people just not sleep here or something?

And like hell I was going to nom anything from Hymns. If I was forced to nom The Love Within, I would happily billy myself.

MAte, I didnt even care tbh. I think some people take this game way too seriously with rules and links. I also dont care if people chose A concert they went to or wanted to goto. I mean its a bit much to expect someone to nom one of 6 or 7 songs if its a popular artist.

Its downright stupid. I see it at the football and the NBA. Heres the thing. If its a memorable game or concert. Buy the DVD. Your own footage would be mediocre and you end up being lost between the screen and the moment.

It's peak narcissism because ai'd say the majority of people who do it, do it to share on socials.
