Shameful.

On his P plates, recorded a blood alcohol reading of 0.75.

He's only been suspended for 5 months so no doubt he'll be back on track to run Corey Hughes and his other Bulldog mates around for the pre season p iss-up.

""Despite his strength of character ... he made a miscalculation," Magistrate Carney told the court."

He miscalculated the legal limit of 0.00, either that or his age. :D

Thanks for that.

Why don't you report how many AFL players have ..............deleted mindless/pointless crap that didn't need bringing up............................?

Nah, didn't think you had it in ya. The word gutless comes to mind.......

Well, for one he was 0.075 which is hardly drunk. Probably 3 beers in an hour.

Now, I realise that he is supposed to be 0.00 but I wouldn't hardly call that drunk. He made a stupid decision, which he has taken on the chin. Lets not blow this out of proportion.

He had a couple of beers and waited a few hours before driving. Yeah it was pretty stupid that he even drove at all, he was unlucky though and hardly drunk.

Don't know why you bother coming here, Nicko. Honestly.

I wonder the same with you at times as well.

The rest of you grow up and stop refering to incidents that have nothing to do with this case (note I have deleted/edited posts)

Guy had a few beers and drove when he knew he shouldn't have and there can be NO excuse for that. In my line of work I see people every day come in and claim they only were a little bit over the limit, but the law is the law and .051 is over the limit for those not on their L's or P's. Sonny Bill did the wrong thing and nothing can excuse breaking a limited that is broken the second you take a sip of beer.

.00 means .00 - if you drive after having a beer or two on your P's, then you must really be either stupid or up yourself if you think your above the law.

SBW made an error of judgement for which he has wholeheartedly apologised and copped his punishment on the chin.

Agreed. Whether the penalty he copped was fair when put side by side with "normal" people who do the same thing is another matter that hasn't been looked into.

SBW is a high profile sportsman and on that basis alone this thread is fair game.

Agreed as long as it doesn't turn into an all out slanging match like this thread did. Same goes for all matter that end up in the public eye.

Good moderating..

Bad moderating in the other "closed" thread..

And being an AFL fan you add posts like this in the AFL main board regarding AFL players too I gather.

Look forward to your next post. Sure to be rivitingly informative as always....
