For me it wasnt the ones he showed it was the crap that should have been paid that was exactly the same. noticed they didnt show footage of McPhee throwing punches or the tackle that should have been paid on Ballantyne and wasnt. How about the free that should have been paid to goodes in the goal square for holding.

All he did was try to justify the decisions made and picked 4 out that were free kick and assessed them. I like the way he said they questioned the umpire over the Grundy throw and then he justified their response. Obviously they had doubts over it as well.

What a farce. How anyone can watch that and not come to the conclusion the umpire stuffed up, I don't know.

They missed out the worst ones, which was convenient. Not that the White 50m was there, or that the Malceski holding the ball was there. If they put the Grundy throw in context, that wasn't there either.

Towards the end of the video, there's one involving Patfull holding the ball, where he holds onto the ball for about 5 seconds longer than White did. No 50m penalty there. I'm not one for this 'umpires were going for Freo' rubbish, they're neutral, we just had a bit of bad luck. But to say that Ray Chamberlain is one of their best umpires and awards free kicks appropriately, without over-imposing himself on the game relative to other umpires, is like arguing that gravity is a myth.

Apparently Gieschen did admit some of them were bad calls.

What's more, it was five seconds from when White caught the ball to when the fifty was called. There were shitloads of incidents later in the day with players delaying longer than that by lying on the ball, running off with the ball or kicking it away.
