Montgomery is now favourite to be senior coach of the Bulldogs next year.

It’s understood the players have told Gordon they want him, which is a huge tick, but perhaps more importantly it’s understood Gordon wants him

Would be a fail from the Dogs to just give the coaching gig to an assistant already at the club. They clearly have a cultural problem and to give it to someone who the players want isn't setting the right message.

If Bolton starts the 2015 still at Hawthorn, there's obviously something wrong with how the media the general public perceive him. Bulldogs, Crows, and Suns coaching positions have all been there for the taking, and he doesn't end up with one of them (well, excluding the Crows now), I'd be concerned.
