Ouch, he had a ripper today! Really adds something to the Swans, despite his age he's been a very worthy pick up for you and a big loss for the Hawks.

Congrats guys, good game to watch, you were the deserving winners.

Agreed. He has been great this year and todays game is a great example. He might have been the difference between victory and defeat today.

Thankyou. We try to be good winners which is something that Essendon fans could learn. I hope to see Hawthorn in the 8 come finals time.

Very impressed with the Hawks today. Have a feeling that this is a team we'll be hearing a lot about over the next few years. :thumbsu:

Less impressed with the state of modern umpiring. The interpretations are so soft. Both teams were burned. And the friends I were watching it with played a drinking game based on crap decisions. But had to stop after a while. Would have gotten far too messy. :thumbsd:

Nice one Tuco!
Exactly my sentiments. Hawks will be better for it.

Despite people saying he is a cancer to any club he goes to, i think we are going to prove every word of that wrong. He has indeed, been a very, very handy pick up. If we can keep him fit up until the end of finals time, i think what we gave away for him will prove to be a successful trade. :)

If you go to the Supercoach Ruck section, Spida and Jolley are leading the way.......................Well done Swannies, I was at the Bloods/Hawks game and great bruiser it was. Tadhg was a terrible loss. Best for '07 !

Thanks. I dont really know why good Spida was for Hawthorn as i didnt really watch alot of Hawks games in 05 and 06 but he has been great for the Swans and is easily one of most consistant players this season.

I hadn't noticed that. But anecdotally I've definitely felt our duo have been just about the pace setters this season.

Loving Spida's work. His recruitment reminds me of the nerves everyone felt about the opening ceremony of the Sydney Olympics. We all knew it was coming, we all had high hopes, but we were also very nervous that it was going to suck and end up a colossal embarrassment on the world stage. But then when it turned out great the sigh of relief across the city was so great we just knew the best Olympics ever were on the way!

Go the Jolly-Spida! :p
