What were the WB thinking giving this player away?

This one will bite hard.

Already done more for Sydney in three games than his brother did in two seasons

Thats not completely fair as Spida was very good for the Swans in his first season at the club.

As for his brother he was rather iffy in defence today but his move up forward in the final 10 minutes of the last quarter possibly won us the game.

He'd done bugger all for 2 years and wanted out. I like him, I hope he does well, but a good quarter is a bit early to be talking him up

Bulldogs supporters were frustrated with Skinny, nobody ever said he couldn't be a good player though.

Hope he does well at the Swans. He wanted to leave, he got his wish. Just go easy on the hype with him for the time being though, it's a long season and he still has a long way to go to become a consistent contributor.

if sydney are interseted in a teams player for a trade, that player has untapped talent which sydney usually bring out
J.Kennedy
B.Mcglynn
S.Mumford

and Jolly and C.Bolton before that

Bolton was a PSD pick actually, but still your point still stands.

He had a good last quarter. He had some good quarters with us but rarely showed the intensity or work rate to perform with any consistency.

We also didn't give him away, he wanted to leave and was angry at the lack of opportunities his generally poor form lead to. If he pulls his finger out of his arse he could become a player for the Swans

Won the game for us without a doubt. His move forward was a smart one. I hope to see more of this!

Benefitted from some very good field kicking up front. Also being on a guy who isn't known for good one-on-one marking skills helps also.

If anything we were out-coached (again).

Peter Street board

Nah in all seriousness, sometimes you don't need abundance of talent to do well at Sydney. Good system with good coaches and on-field leaders.

That's exactly how I'd describe Veszpremi too, so it was an even trade.

first 2 weeks he was pathetic.

i'd wait before claiming he'll be the best thing ever

Some people just need opportunity. That's how Sydney get these players. They're fringe players (For whatever reason) at their club and Sydney offer them game time.

Having recognition show in your ability and faith by the coaching staff is a wonderful thing.

I hope he can keep it up :)
