There's been hardly any games released in the past few months, apart from TLOU which is one of the best games ever.

In about a months time it'll start getting hectic and once the Xbox one is released I'll be broke haha.

Only $74 at JB. Not much cheaper elsewhere. Videoezy is cheaper but they say release is on Friday, Who knows when they will send it out.
 
Yeah, got the ultimate edition for an extra $5 and also preordered GTA V while I was there.

Will fire it up after tea, can't wait though, I love Splinter Cell.

If you like stealth get it, if you like splinter cell get it, if you like playing games get it.
Only a few hours in but love it, some great customisation loadouts in the campaign, going from cover to cover is a breeze.
Only little problem I have had is going into cover hasn't worked, but that has only been a handfull of times out of hundreds.
 
Tried it out this weekend, didn't think too much of it. I didn't play Conviction but am a fan of the previous games. Gameplay is good, feels a bit like the traditional gameplay although I do prefer the gamestyle of say Pandora Tomorrow, etc. Difficulty is good, AI has some sort of superpower where they ALL automatically know where you are, although it is easy enough to run and hide. You can use the stealth approach or all out attack, but the all out attack style pretty much gets you killed very quickly until deeper into the game where you upgrade your suit, gadgets, weapons, etc.

Not to mention the game freezes on PS3, only had a few but those few were enough to really place my mind perfectly with my thoughts on the game. I didn't download a patch, I believe there is a day 1 patch so that's probs the way to go. And the voice acting is horrible, we need Michael back.

They happened ususally when too much was happening, ie. I threw a smoke grenade then openhed up my weapons menu to change gadgets and boom, freeze. Quite a lot of people on other forums are mentioning freezes too. That said, I know it doesn't happen to everyone. It's like Skyrim when after certain patches some people's consoles froze frequently whereas mine and others didn't. Regardless, I recommend the patch update.
 
Yeah it's going to take time to get use to the new Sam, at the moment, it doesn't feel like you're playing with Sam Fisher, I miss michaels voice :(

That's the only downside from this game, other than that I'm loving it.
 
I'm thoroughly enjoying this game. I don't mind the new voice for Fisher, it took me a couple levels to get used to it.

Is Kobins voice done by the same guy that did Adam Jensen in Deus Ex : Human Revolution ?

My brother asked me what it was like and i did say there is a bit of a Mass Effect feel with the Paladin. I really like the setup of the Paladin being your main menu. I found that doing the 4E missions between the campaign missions adds to the game.
