Im thinking the Saints are due for a loss and who better to give it to them than the Coast. Time to get back the respect we started to earn last year after good wins away against top teams. Your thoughts....

It would be real nice, but somehow I don't think so. they have too much class all around the field, and we have too many players with 20 games or less.

We have to be realistic. I dont see much chance of our guys beating them over there, they're simply too good. I'll be satisfied if we can be within 5 goals of them at the final siren. I'll be very happy to eat my words though.:D

You would think St Kilda have too many quality players, especially if Kerr gets suspended. They play the Dome better than anyone and a number of their players will have to have an off game to give us a sniff. Guerra got off so i can see us getting smashed both physically and on the scoreboard. I can see Butler getting his first game and getting cleaned up.

I dont think the eagles will win... but im hoping for a good game, the last few between the two have been great

Guerra

"Guerra got off..."
He was not cited on the post-match video review.
I would suggest you take a look at the rule book.
He hits:
-when the ball is within 5 metres
- at the right level
- keeps the elbow tucked in

Schammer got hit at the moment he kicked the footy.
Lokan was attempting to run down a Sainter who had the ball
when he was met by "Little-G".
It is well within the rules.
It looks bad only because of how both players ended up:
absolutely smashed.
But it is included in the rules, the Hip-and-Shoulder.

When one of your guys gets smacked by our "Little-G",
pay close attention to the replay and see how he does it...
Footy players expect contact, it is part of the game.
The hip-and-shoulder is exciting (at least for the fans of one team!!)

Correct except that Schammer got hit AFTER he disposed of the ball and the ball was not within 5 metres at the time of the impact

Having said that it was worth a free kick but not a report. A bit of smash and crash is what footy is all about. Good football when you get away with it scott free

As a huge saints man I hope the eagles are ready to play some footy. I want to see good game. The saints (seriously) are quite tired harvey should be rested along with some other surprises. BUT hayes is back in and if you guys lose Kerr (who I think has been brilliant-- and I DON'T THINK HE SHOULD GO- it was a great bump) to tribunal that will be a big loss and the game IMO.

Our midfield is on par (if not better) with the saints but it is the saints forward line and back line that concerns me.

If we can maintain possession and keep running/driving the ball forward I think we can crack there defence but unless we do this I fear there forward line will kill us.

we will be missing jako:D still i think the boys have what it takes to take this challange, you are as good as you are on the day and thats it, time will tell

Saints are primed for a loss. Had a very tough game against Brisbane, followed it up by flying the WHOLE team to Perth for a tough game against Freo, and last week disposed of Collingwood in front of a vocal crowd.

If WC turn up for this game, we're a good chance to beat them. Especially if our guys can keep running all day offensively, as well as applying the pressure defensively.

If we can nullify Gehrig and Reiwoldt (Glass/Lynch and Staker respectively), we're a good chance at shutting their scoring power down. Milne could tear us a new one, hopefully Waters will come in for Humm.

I just have to think realistically. The Saints are our bogey team. They best us all the time, even when they suck so I cant see us beating them now when they have become a very good side. Still 8 on the trot and 12 if you count the preseason surely means the laws of averages are on our side.

Sorry cant let that slide ATM our midfield is the best in the league. Kerr, Judd and cousins are brilliant and can play on par with Hayes Harvey and Black (No Doubt there). BUT its the 4/5 and 6th midfielders in LBall, Dal Santo then take your choice of Powell, Thompson or Clarke where the saints do the damage in rotation.
Youll see what Im talking about Sunday just watch if your keen.

With Black out hepls a tiny bit but we'll cover him.
Once again hope you guys play well I wanna see a great match.

Quickly who are your 4/5 and 6th midfielders?

I agree IF you guys run hard you could pip us. Hayes is fully rested though. We are tired so its possible and IF and its a HUGE IF that you guys can stop Gehrig Reiwoldt Hammil Kositchke and Milne up forward you will win. But I dont think you can without Mal Michael, Scarlett, Leppitsh, Bolton, Fletcher all in the same team.

At the moment, I'd say Fletcher, Embley, Wirrpunda and Braun.

Will Harvey play?

I doubt it. Should rest him but with heath Black out might need experience however the young ones held up against the maggies last week.

Hey can you please watch for JASON BLAKE!!! He is very unmentioned but is brilliant how he runs forward playing ruck watch for it.

Ifs have to be applied to any predictions one makes. IF St Kilda don't fcuk up, like they are historically inclined to do, they will win.

btw, St Kilda fans are quickly beginning to sound like Pies fans. A similar fate beckons?

St. Kilda's midfield has a physical element that WC's midfield doesn't have. That's the difference between the two midfields.

care to substaniate kenny?

i cant think of one st kilda midfielder who is overly physical.

guerra is a forward pocket.
