Recently, I have been getting postcard/card type things in the mail. The first one seems to have different hand writing to the other two.. It was funny as the first time, and now after the third in about 4 weeks, it is possibly even funnier. But, all the same very, very strange.

The first one I received, I think, on the 25th March. It says, "Did you know... Field Mice have a life expectancy of 10 months."
Then, on the side it reads, "Have a splendiferous day! :)"

Strange. Then, two weeks later, to the day I received a second one. It said, "Words of wisdom... While it may be wise to set something aside for a rainy day, you don't need a warehouse full of umbrellas. Have a sunny day :)"

Now, today, I receive another one. It says;
"Did you know?
- Slugs have four noses?
- A company in Taiwan makes plates out of wheat so you can eat it after?"
- You're a sexy hunk of man"

The weirdest thing is they were all addressed to different names, but all to me.
The first one was addressed to "Sir James." The second, "Jimmy." Then, today, it was just my full name.

My question is a two-parter. One, should I be concerned? I assume not, some people just having a laugh/someone who wants to sexy-time with me.
Second, share some of your stories of being stalked/stalking.

Yeah, no idea. I think it's weird they called me by three different names. I would assume then, if they are the same person, I have known them for a while. That is my only clue.
Also, all the smiley faces on each one look the same. That is why I am lead to believe it is the same person. Also, because there aren't many people mentally psychotic enough to do it.

Probably close mate ****ing with you or;

Hahahahaha, thinking it might just be a prank from a mate or something.
But, on the off chance it's not, I want to know who it is so I can tell them to come and do something about this 'sexy hunk of a man.'

Can't say I have had any full blown stalkers but every now and then you get a 'clinger'.

Was rooting this one bird last year who turned out to be a fairly big clinger. When I met her she had just broken up with her boyfriend, so I didn't think she would be up for anything serious and just wanted a bit of fun (similar stage I was going through). I was up front from the start and told her I wasn't after anything serious and I was seeing other people as well.

After only 2-3 week of seeing her she dropped the L-bomb. That would usually be a massive deal breaker if a girl said that after only a couple of weeks, but the problem was this girl was probably in the top 5 hottest girls I have been with and I wanted to keep rooting her.

Later that week I woke up and saw I had a text message from her. I was in a bit of a rush to get ready for work so I thought to myself I will read it once I jump in the car. So I got ready jumped in the car and started driving off. As soon as I started driving my phone starts ringing and it was her.

Her- "where are you going"
Me- Completely shocked "To work....."
Her- "Didn't you get my text, I am out side your house"
Me- "oh, ok........ I will do a U-turn and come back"

I was only around the corner so I turned around and headed back.

I got back and she was waiting in her car for me outside my house. We both get out our cars and she is carrying something.... "here you go, I baked some muffins so I thought you would like to take some to work with you"

SHE WAS WAITING OUTSIDE MY HOUSE IN THE DEAD OF MORNING WITH MUFFINS FOR ME.

That was the point I realised I had better start pumping the breaks on the whole situation.

We continued to hang out and stuff and I continued to tell her I wasn't after anything serious (was always up front about this, because I didn't want to give her false hope of a relationship or anything. All you can do is be straight up, and if they want to continue how things are then great), until one night she was over and really pushed the issue of a relationship. I explained to her again that I wasn't after a relationship as I only got out of a long one at the start of relationship and wasn't ready for another one. She ended up laying on my bedroom floor in tears about the whole thing.

After that it we had to stop seeing each other just because we wanted such different things.

I was tailor made for this thread.

I've had two stalkers
Stalker 1- I used to have the same friends as this girl (definite 0) who would send me all kinds of messages.
"I've already named our children" "we're going to have 3 kids together".
To put this in perspective, I was 15 at the time.
She's now/was always a lesbian.

Stalker 2- I used to work with this girl who lived on the other side of town.
She sent me an epic txt msg detailing her undying love for me (definite 0)
I politely rebuffed her advances.
The next week I was at the doctors and lo and behold she's there, so I asked her what is she doing here (as she lived on the other side of town).
Her reply was that she was in the area, and she saw me going in here so she thought she might check to see if I was ok......

Yep its not an enjoyable experience.

Not me but my best mate who i was living with at the time. My mate was out at the local dirty nightclub and picked up this chick who was extremely keen to get down to business, now we lived literally a 2 minute drive from the club but something in his head told him to go to her place instead which was 45 minutes or so away and so off they went and did the deed exchanged numbers and that was it ....or so he thought.

Then the texts started which were of the friendly lets catch up variety and when my mate told her that he was busy for said catch up meeting the craziness started. I wish i had the texts that he would read to us nightly as they were some crazy shit and he also would get calls at 3AM and when he wouldnt asnswer would get texts stating that OMG LOL i was trying to ring someone else and then the situation reached its apex when he received a text from her that she tried to make out was meant for her friend stating how much she loved my mate and they were perfect for each other!! Eventually one my other housemate answered one of her calls and told her in no uncertain terms if she didnt stop hed be going to the cops etc

She then sent her final text which stated that she was a strong independent woman and it was probably better that they stopped seeing each other ( they met and shagged once ) and that she was menopausal and was taking morning primrose tablets to overcome this issues...... My mate claims the greatest decision he ever made was not taking her back to our place which was the easiest thing to do!!

Let the autofilter do its work, guys.

Anyway, dunno if I'd call any of the stuff in this thread stalking. I guess there is a bit of grey around the situation but for me stalking is where there's a component of threatening behaviour, or something that puts the target in some degree of fear (intentionally or otherwise).

Everyone's dated the odd overly clingy person (male and female) but I've got a couple of mates who have been on the receiving end of serious stalking and it's not pretty. Vandalised cars, having their new partners threatened, that sort of thing.

Not stalking in the sense that it was continuous but when I was about 13 I was walking through Target pretty late one Thursday night and this old man followed me from the moment I walked in, went to the back entertainment area to get a battery charger and until I walked out where my mum was waiting. He was really close behind me and was stomping to make sure I knew. He then sat on the same bench as us and I pretty much told mum that we should gtfo. Scared the shit out of me.

This ones definitely not stalking but when I was about 7 my brother (5) and I waited in the car while mum ran in to the shops, it was really late. This guy in the car next to us kept staring. Eventually he got out of his car and tried to open the door to our car but thankfully it was locked. He smiled got back in his car and sped off. Very creepy

Obviously both pedo's.

I always thought it would be nice to have some cute Asian stalker, like one of those girls from a K-Drama (not the dangerous psychotic kind). It seems in Japan and South Korea sometimes this kind of behaviour can be viewed as endearing, maybe it is a cultural thing.

In all seriousness though I have never had a real life stalker, but then again I am one of those people who is completely oblivious to when girls are interested in me. I don't know whether it is friendliness, or flirting, so usually just go for the safety option.

I have however had clingyish girls who borderline stalk via FB/myspace (when people used it)/msn and by phone. Doesn't bother me honestly, because none have been hostile, I already knew them and they have never caused an issue when I was in a relationship. Sometimes I think people can just be lonely, or need validation/acknowledgement.

As for the OP, sounds like a mate having a laugh.
